JR98 GAMING
No matter what I cannot get past the High Speed Ring race on the Sunday Cup

I have tried it on every update version on fresh game save and still the game will not work on High Speed Ring which due to the fact you need 4 Stars to progress to the Amatuer cup, means I cannot progress through the game. If they reduced it to 3 Stars, or unlocked online races and Seasonals from the start, that would be fine with me as I just want a decent way to earn credits to collect the cars or atleast play some online races.

Reinstall the game again and try playing first without an update. I did that when I bought GT6 and played before downloading updates.

Out of data error. Does the game crash or what?

What exactly is the problem?

Well, to start GT6 I have to put my PS3 onto a 45* angle or the disc icon won't show on the XMB, then when I am on the game I am able to play any track fine EXCEPT High Speed Ring. It is the only track that does it

The problem is that when I choose that track, it loads the menu to load the AI fine. Then, when I am about to start the race the music stops. Then I start the race, nothing. I quit the race, stuck in loading screen. So I hold the PS button and quit the game, and it is stuck on black screen so I switch the PS3 off by the switch at the back and when it restarts it says the system has not been turned off properly message then asks to send a report to Sony. I do that. I have tried it on both the latest version of GT6 and Ver. 1.00. PS3 is on latest update and there is no install data to delete, just my save data, which I have done. It wouldn't matter normally but I have to do a race on HSR or I cannot get further into the game

You might want to get that checked out. Do you experience any similar issues with other games?

Trust me mate: you're the lucky one. If you could actually play the game, you would hate it more...
No, I have played it before and I like it, it's just I hate the fact it will not let me progress on my PS3

No, GTAV, WD, GT5, Driver SF and all of my other games play pefectly fine, it's just GT6

check disk might be a bad press (it happens) or have a greasy spot due to fingers. look at the light from a side and check for anything weird like scratches, "clouds on disc surface" black spots etc etc

I have the exact same issue, except with the matterhorn instead of high speed ring. It. Just. Wont. Load.

When I click start, the little watch icon just spins and spins for hours, doing nothing. I can click circle and go back to the menu, but I cant proceed as it is a licence requirement to do some in matterhorn.

It's gunna be the death of me!

Jason - have you considered taking it to a nearby Sony dealer and letting an associate take a look at it?
Take the whole caboodle - disc, console, etc to the dealer and let them test it out - they should have a display in the store they can hook it up to.
They might be able to help you.

There is so much loot in the game to enjoy as you progress.
It's pretty much the only automotive game right now that has so many cars from so many different disciplines with the option to run so many different types of races - from oldies to futuristics - so you are missing a lot.
Not to mention the wealth of original tracks. Like High Speed Ring. :)
