Okay this is how it goes I bought a Scion xb not too long ago and it is pretty cool. Well anyways I am in a McDonalds drive through and this dumb*** starts backing up I start honking my horn and then the idiot just looks at me and keeps going, then he hits me and then guns it and got away. It made me so mad now my cousin who owns a body repair shop says it will cost about $2,000 to fix it. Damn this makes me mad.

Not good, did you get the licence plate number and report it to the police?

Right.. he backed into you slowly, you honking your horn (in which you could have definetly seen the license plate) and then he ran off...

What kind of car was it that backed into you?

You could narrow it down to a number..

Hit and runs are becoming very common. Shame you couldn't get the license plate number. But, if you do report it, keep in mind the other vehicle was also likely damaged, so if you can narrow it down to a particular make, model, year (something general will do here), and color, you might have a chance of catching the person, as long as they also got damaged.

^ That probably would have been the best idea. Unless the car was not in a condition to be driven (ie: bodywork rubbing against a tire, or something like that).

Scion xB? There must be some reason he backed into you...

When I was little, my mom's Geo Prism was backed into at a stop light by a big-ass Dodge Ram. She was freaking out. She flipped out and couldn't get the liscense plate number. I was 7, so I was to young to know what to do.

Well there went your once-in-a-lifetime justified car chase opportunity.
Minivan versus Scion, really would have been an even match.

Sorry to hear, but you know it wouldn't been awesome to chase them down.

Reminds me, we own a Range Rover, and this vehicle pwns the old mini cooper, even when parked..

a little bump from the Range, causes a massive move for the mini..

True story.

Which reminds me. While I was waiting at lights today - in the correct lane for my junction - a Range Rover rolled up alongside me. Then through the red lights. Then finally coming to rest two car lengths through.

By the time he'd engaged the clutch when the lights changed, I was already ahead of him and yes, he wanted to come down the same road I was going down, but was too impatient to wait at the lights and thought his mobile brick could jump me at the lights with a two car-length head start.

Wow, I would have chased the bugger! BTW what car do you have famine?

I saw the same thing happen only it was some old dude driving a car pulling out of a parking spot when some lady was behind him. The lady was honking and the old dude just kept backing up and just drove off all causal like after hitting the lady and putting big dents in both of their cars. I was laughing the whole time.

The old guy acting like nothing happened and just drove away. The lady got out of the car and starting talking to some other lady who saw it. While me and my friend laughed.

Good times.

it doesn't matter. he has a sports car and it's red. :sly:

Nothing special, but it's quicker than a piggin' Range Rover.

A lot of people flip out in car accidents. Like my wife, who was hit from behind, and didn't get name, address or plate number from her assailant, because she "couldn't see any damage". I could see the dent from 300m. Cost us £700.

Don't insult the Range You :indiff:
It might have large problems at times, but that doesnt make it any less good..

*cough* technical problems *cough*

Man, if someone did a hit & run to my Skyline while i was in it i'd chase them down no matter what the speed.

I got really angry with my brother when he damaged a side panel on the Skyline a couple of years ago while reversing (into a tree)

Thing is - Dad was the owner of the car at the time!

I was in a "hit and run" once. Don't tell anybody this, but this is how it went down.

I was behind this car at the intersection. Light was red, and we were trying to turn right. When there were no cars coming from the left, I started to roll(in U.S., you can make an right turn, even if the light's red). The car in front of me, for some reason just sat there and I ended up tapping its' rear. The Asian lady driving the car turns around, looks at me with an terrified look on her face, then finally makes the right turn. At this point, I'm thinking she's gonna pull over to an less busier part of the block, so I kept on following her. She ended up speeding away!

I don't know if she was an illegal immigrant, didn't have an valid license, or an insurance. I was just glad that no claim was made against my insurance policy. 👍 Also, there were no damage to my front bumper. :D Yes!

Luckily, I don't think it would have done much damage to either party. I just thank god that our car has huge plastic bumpers, lol.

And GG, what's this about your wife not seeing the damage? How big was the dent/where was it?
