You know when you go to hte optomitrist and you get the eye drops to dilate your pupils? well, today i went to the eye doctor, he puts them in, and later when i leave, the sun just happens to come out very brightly. i could barely keep my eyes open whenever i was outside.

yea those drops kinda suck...

My eye doc talks really slowly when he was getting the right magnification for my glasses. He was like "Iiiissss tttthhhhiiiissss bbbeeettteeerrr, oorrr isss ttthhhiiiissss bbbeeettteeerrrr." Got kinda annoying.

Needless to say, I rarely ever wear the glasses. Evidently, I have 30/40 vision or some crap like that...it doesn't seem bad for me so I try not to wear them(cause the more you wear glasses, the weaker your eyes get. That's why it's actually good to really look at what you are looking at and making your eyes work). When I'm 18 or just older, I will probably get laser surgury since my problem can be fixed with it.

well I donno what they said. It might have been 20/30 in one eye and 20/40 in the other, I don't remember.

Yeah this is not my favorite.

mine is 20/200 right eye dominant. i'll stick with weakening because i dunno how long i live and i'd rather not be a foot near the tv if there's text on it i want to read.

yea i hate that stuff. As it is without the drops my eyes are already sensitive to light, and i can barely keep my eyes open in regular sunlight. And when it snows!! omg i could die! :D

last time i had my eyes check they were 20/10, but they are probably 20/13 or 20/15 right now. Damn computer monitors :p
I need to do focusing excersizes (sp?) and i'll be back to 20/10 in no time ;)

oh yes, i forgot to mention, white sux and GTP hurts my eyes 😈

I have some problems reading stuff from far away...I have a stigment(is that what it's called?) so from far distences stuff seems clear but like it's moving or vibrating...my dad has it too.

My mom has problems reading...laser surgery doesn't fix that, so when she reads she wears glasses.

Lasik(TM) costs like 2K for both eyes(1K each, but most people get both for obvieus reasons...).

After Lasik, some people can see 20/10. I would love going from 20/40 to 20/10 or less...super eyesight!

yea that's it Talent...it gets annoying trying to look at the board and you are like "God damn go into focus!!!" Most of the time I can guess what is on the board if I can't see it...also it depends on what degree of tiredness I'm in...today I was wipped(from shear boardom)and I couldn't see that well.

But sometimes I can see pretty normally.

I have VES, Variable Eye Sight heh.

I know some kids that are literally lost without glasses, one kid's glasses broke and he went up to the board(like 6 inches away) and still couldn't see a thing...I'm glad I'm not that bad. It would really suck for an avid cyclist, videogamist, and car enthusiast to be blind(or deaf for that matter, although my ears are exellent due to my avoidence of loud music(no not Loud the member here), loud noises(to a certain extent, being a mechanic in training you can't avoid all noises), and other ear damaging stuff.

But enough about me...

Heh, well yes, if i stick my face up to it :p

But seriously, it depends what i am looking at. From normal viewing distance, i can see the pixels on where the white meets the black lines on GTP. Same with the red borded by black, and all letters and faces. If i am lookin at somthing really bright, i can't focus too well, and i loose alot of clarity. but it's still good :)

There's an evolution theory that says eventually (it’ll take many millennia) the human race will be blind.......

Works something like this, poor eyesight is a hindrance against predators, accident etc. So those with poor eyesight would be removed from the gene pool either by predators / falling down cliffs / walking into trees / starvation (from not being able to see prey or nuts and berries) or whatever before they can breed and produce more of the same species with poor eyesight. Therefore eventually the poor eyesight strain will be bred out of the human race. The next part is that because being the way humans are we try to fix the poor eyesight problem either with glasses or surgery, but the bad gene element remains within the species getting more and more common with each new generation.

So that eventually the human race ends up with a significant proportion of its population that have bad eyesight until such a time as blindness is the norm……….

Not my theory, just one I’ve heard about.
