I've had two similar freezes with a crossfire coming off test track b-spec sessions to wear out the engine - only situation I've run into them.

I tried tilting my ps2 to get the game out of its freeze. it work most of the time for me. Just tilt on its side 90 degrees off a flat surface a couple of times

i had the EXACT smae problem with my nissan fairlady z i got from tuner villageEVERY time i exited a race with it, the game froze up.

did i mention that the z i used is black, too :(

I like my black cars. Wait, do I even OWN any?

Let's see: Viper, Supra, Honda S600, E55, StageA Autech, Vette Z06, 323F, RX-7 RZ (1992, 3 of 'em), GNX, 05 Stang, 2 1995 Integras, Sileighty, NISMO 400R, Fiat 500L, and a 3000GT. Out of 88 cars.

I've only been red clocked once, and that's because the disk unclipped itself from the tray. Don't ask me how.

i've havent really paid attention to specific cars exiting an event, but freezing during black screen HAS happened before..

As for an espirit, never had a problem with espirit and i never will like that car in the first place..

IMO, Elise 111R > Espirit (any model)

Wow... I haven't posted on here in ages. Probably close to two years! Some of you might recognize my screen name, as I've used it since the days of granturismo.com and Kenji. I then went on to the new GTX, met some douchebags, bought an old bimmer (E30) and left the GT scene for awhile. Now that I have a copy of GT4 again, I'll probably be around here more often. :)

I recently was given a chunky older PS2 (v7/SCPH39001). The only problem with it is that it would "only read DVD's". Upon plugging it in, I confirmed that. So, I went and picked up a copy of GT4 and Kingdom Hearts and set to work on it according to this guide.

It worked for me, but I don't guarantee the same for you.

My old model PS2 does this every now and then, so I began taking mental notes of the circumstances under which it happened. Oddly enough, I found a pattern that is quite consistent.

The trick needs different wheels on different tyres. If I enter the free run on Sports tyres, switch to Racing tyres during the session, and exit on Race tyres, the game doesn't seem to know how to handle the new looks of the car shown in the track selection screen. BOOM, it's stuck.

It doesn't happen every time but alarmingly often. Do we have a bug previously unthought of here?

uh...yeah...mine did that when I built up a 05' Mustang...but a few days later my ps2 died...meaning it didn't read any disk or power the hard drive so....I would be afraid....oh...the mustang was blue...just let you know...but..I sold that car and did the same thing to an almost identical mustang (different wheels and didn't put in the full engine balancin due to the fact it screws up the rev limiter) and it did not do it...so I don't have a clue what the problem is

Happened to me, too.
My game froze when I tried to race my 350Z roadster that I tuned in the tuning village. It happened over and over again, so I sold the car thinking the parts were glitched up or something. Bought another one just like it and tuned it at the same place, and it works all the time I race it. Weird:odd:

i think its safe to say this story was "unplagerized" (i said it with exaggeration, dont worry you didn't steal anything). I don't think THAT's happened to me though..nor do i think that's possible. It just sounds so beyond my imagination..plus i think i entered and exited with differing tires before without it freezing on me.

To all Others: I think they should be a Club made: "The Cursed GT Loading Clock" or whatever, it'll be like the data corrupt club, dont ask me anything about the club, im not in it. Yes, so taly upnames now and then and update the thread post to add to the list of victims of this "undefined serial GT Game freezer", then get the new members to post specific in-depth detail of how and what he/she did to get the game to freeze. Any volunteers to start the thread?
