Ok, on wednesday I started trading on GT5 using the market place and last night I organised a trade with a guy where I get a 2J and he gets a Miura. Because of the time difference he would send his when he finishes his B-spec enduro and I would go to bed (it was 11pm) and then send it in the morning. Of course the update was out in the morning so I couldnt send the Miura and I couldnt send the 2J back to him :nervous: . What should I do? I feel sorry for this guy there has to be something? (other than race him online and let him win till he gets enough to buy his own Miura)

Use the birthday glitch and send him a 1967 gift ticket.

does that work? Thanks if it does.

Edit: I heard that birthday tickets don't work if they have high value. But it will need to be 1970

I didn't realize that Furai was a 1,000,000+ car.
Anyways, have any spare chromes? Less than 1,000,000 cr. cars able to send? Other than that, I have no idea?

Send this question to PD/Sony. And post their anwer here.

Would be very interesting.

Right I'll see what they say. How to I send it to them

The 1967 ticket is probably going to be the best solution. It will take a little effort on his part to actually get the car but it's better than nothing.

1.07 is just wrecking GT5.

Ive given the Miura an online status so he can drive it when he likes

Depends on who you ask. I, for one, don't mind the update.

But more specifically the trade system. I love the rest of the game. Ive got a mate from school who I always trade with and most of the time I give him cars I don't want. But I gave him a fully tuned Enzo. He hasn't given it back so I will never see it again. :( . Btw how do you add the small writing at the bottom of each post you put? I have an idea

Yeah, I do have to agree with that. I am just glad duplicating is gone, (may be just me.) That's all, the rest of the idea sucks.

Just have to edit your signature on your MY GTplanet page.

I have that same problem but from the other side lol ... I am owed an NSX Prototype & a Jag XJR-9 and I am never going to see either of them, nor am I going to see the two 1million+ cars I sent in the first place. Guess those guys got a lucky break there hey! :P

I too have this problem, I traded a Gt40 race car zero mileage and zero change which I did not want for the classic Alfa, the guy sent me the Alfa last night I was due to send the Gt 40 this morning ( time difference) but now I cant

don`t know what Im going to do about it now?

And on top of that Im now left with a Gt40 that I dont want.

It's harsh, but it's not your fault and there is very little you can do unless he will take other cars in return.

There was no warning of this update (as far as I know) so no one can be blamed for partially completed deals.

I do feel that some warning should of been given regards this update, I'm not a trader I just do a few swaps with friends and people I have become to know on line hence my last transaction, I feel now I have let this guy down even though its out of my hands.

I'm on the oposite side of the coin. I gifted a friend a F1 2007 so he could use it in the seasonal event and now there is no way he can give it back to me. We had done the same thing a few times before so I have the benifit that I know he was planning to send the car back when he was done with it. But for me personally I dont have any bad feeling towards him at all. He did nothing. There was no warning that this was going to come down the road. I think the guy you traded with will feel the same way, its not like you could have planned this or anything.

I am very, very upset with PD however. They may have done this to stop people copying cars but they know damn well that there are ligitimate traders and people that gift cars back and forth and to do this with no warning what so ever is just them giving a massive middle finger to the people who were using the system the way it was designed to be used.

I'll have the GT40. the noise is amazing. Shame the update won't allow it.

I dont think they give a darn about copying cars and trading cars. who does it hurt ??
Nobody in my opinion.
I think the people on ebay selling these cars for real money is behind this patch.

It is a shame that the thouands and thousands of people that threw down their hard earned $60.00 plus dollars got screwed over this.
I hope they make this right and very soon or they might see a mass exidous of loyal fans.

Im guessing no one saw this tweet by Kaz?

The car features more than 100 million yen gift to resume temporarily. About three hours later as a guide. This is not good I did not notice in advance. Sorry. RT @ gt5nimonomousu: X2010 I just have one day I'd like to be sent to? I lent a friend a while ...

Looks like the ban will be temporarily lifted to make some last trades.

Wow... first time I've heard of that. I wonder how long this 'amnesty' will last.

^ Not long I think... :p

It might not be a temporary thing - a lot gets lost in the translation of Japanese to English from what I see in following the tweet thread. It might mean something along the lines of "hold on, we will lift the ban shortly" and it will stay lifted.

A temporary "amnesty" sounds like it would require a lot more communication with the users than PD has ever proven capable of doing. I'd be ticked off if there was a temporary lift in the middle of the day here in the US while everyone is a work, and I'd assume the rest of the world would feel the same way if they were sleeping, working, etc. A global lift won't please everyone due to the time zone differences.

It's great that they're lifting it temporarily, but for those of you that are gifting just to be gifted back....that's what car sharing is for. Had you shared your F1 all would be well. Long term I think they've just put these 76 cars into that upper tier of cars that you can share and work as friends to collect and use. It supports an idea of community. I think the downside here is the non-premium cars over $1M. Since you can buy the premium cars at any time you can save and work toward them. For the UCD cars if you don't have enough when it pops up it makes it very tough to snag some of them.

I have now heard that this has been lifted it is right?
can I now send this guy his car in the morning?

I cant send it now as my son has sent a gift car to his friend , which due to the unfair one car per PS3 system implement, means I can't now send mine :guilty:

Unless you do a manual update like i do, then you dont have a problem.
always best to know what the update is by feedback on this site and if there is anything to worry about. That way you can adjust before you update.

I do do manual up dates but I could not go on line until I updated Gt would not allow me to sign into my psn/account until I updated.
