k so i have a modded xbox. I got a chip in it to play burned games... i want to know if i could still get Xbox live and play with the "Real games" online. I heard that if you use fake copies you get banned our something so i just wanted to know if its possible for me to still play on xbox live. :dopey:

You can only play if:

- the modchip is disabled of course, so therefore you have to use an original copy of a game

But, have you been on Xbox Live before at all? Do you have a new HDD installed now that you have a modchip?

If this is the first time you're considering going on Live, and the first time you're gonna access the Live in the xbox dashboard to register and all that, then you must remember that modchip must be turned off, and that the HDD you use to register (or even just access xbox live trying to register) is the one you'll have to use to play on Live. If you've used a different HDD in the past to play on Live, you have to use that HDD.

Yes i've been on Xbox live (not my xbox tho) i found a way to disable my Mod chip and i still have the original hdd. Does this mean i can register to Xbox Live using Original Copy of my games? if so i'll be having some fun:) :dopey:

Casio is right! Although my personal opinion would be to allow the use of personal copies of purchased games on your machine, this topic of "How To" and the actions you have to take are illegal and against the Acceptable Use Policy of this board. Further public discussions of this type is grounds for immediate banning of your account.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
