I have a question about Trial Mountain

Is the monkey still there? I've watched a few videos of people doing laps around it, but I don't think I've seen either it or the fallen tree. Did they remove them? If so, that saddens me. I liked having the monkey overseeing the race from his perch in the dead, fallen tree.
