I have had enough of PD's servers!

We need an official petition we can present to PD to upgrade its servers.

I don't know about you guys but sometimes i have to turn my modem off just to get the game to start or for a track to load because of the lag. Now, some of you will just say "why don't you just disable the signing in?!", my answer is, i have just paid upwards of £289 to buy a console to play GT5, so why should i go through that hassle every time the servers are overloaded or just running slow!?

PD should be ashamed of itself and we need to make them aware they should be ashamed and upgrade its servers ASAP.

If you guys are also sick of this then we need to make an official petition we can present to PD, or the Mods can make an official petition and close this thread...

who else feels the same?

you forgot to mention also the problem about Gifted Cars being lost during upload, lol i have lost over 2million in cars because of this problem.

Yes, the game has many problems, specially with the online features, lost cars, disconected from servers, lagg, friends list not showing properly, etc, etc. PD should upgraded their server infrastructure years ago, even before considering online play in gt5.

Well i'm not sure if this should be here, but there's quite a discussion about the birthday glitch and if to use it or not, but what about the people having birthday today and now not getting their cars because of the servers?????

I know this will be just a very small minority of the birtday cars given away today, but comeon they may don't use this glitch and are looking forward to their birthdays and now they don't get it?

Lucky me that mine isn't today.

Are you running on nat 2 or 3 though?
If on nat 3 then your router will be blocking your PS3, There's a thread on this somewhere.
But basically your need to ring playstation support (If In UK 08447360595) & can then for the port code. Then ring your ISP giving them these numbers.

*The above details are as close as I can give without finding the thread. Someone else may confirm this.*

the problem isnt the router....i think, .what prompted this thread was the fact i had to wait 45 minutes (yes, 45 minutes!) for the game to load up a track...actually what happened was this, i started the game and after 5 minutes of waiting i switched off my modem and the game started as soon as the modem was turned off which did not impress either my wife who was online or my son who was in the middle of his homework. so to test if there was a problem with the modem i loaded COD and went online without any problem whatsoever, i even went onto Google with the PS3 and that was also fine, so i loaded up GT5 and played the German championship on A-spec (in expert mode is it?) and after the 2nd race i had to wait 45 minutes for it to exist the race and take me to the menu so i could continue to the next event.
i didn't want to risk corrupting the data so i didn't chance a reset and the screen was stuck on the silver GT symbol strobbing away the whole time....

PS, this thread isnt about who has lost what using the B-day gift thingy.

You're on your own there, I've played every day since release and not once have I had to stare at a load screen for more than about a minute, usually less. We even live in the same area it seems.

What i have noticed is that time of day is a big part of it....

Indeed I do live in London, well Borehamwood to be precise, about 2 mins from George Lucas Studios in Elstree.
