as title, i have won a few beginner championships and tuned my civic type r loads, it beats loads of cars in a straight, i also have a heavy tuned evo 7.

i was wondering where you get the REAL money, like 100,000's in races?

also what other cars do you think i should get and tune?

Many of us have done the math and the european Championship in Amateur is the quickest money maker. It's a 5 race series 3 laps each which can be finished in about 20minutes. using the Save before last race technique, you can win the Vertigo. when sold, it brings in big cash. Correct me if I'm wrong, but somewhere to the tune of 300,000cr. So running this race for 1 hour nets you nearly 1,000,000cr.

Or is it 100,000 for the vertigo?

Also I'd start looking for a fast road car (R390, GT-one, Speed 12...). Leave it untuned for the PD cup.

After that look for an F1 to do the F1 race.

cool, but explain this save before last race technique? why is it needed? i remember completeting the type r competition and winning a 75,000 cr. car without using save.

The Enduros and most (if not all) of the championship series feature a prize car chosen randomly from 4 choices that spin around on the prize wheel. This trick doesn't work on Enduros.

In a series championship, save between each race of the series. Then, after winning all the previous races (and saving the game), you can start the last race, quit immediately, and win the championship on points. The game will then select a prize car for you. If you don't like that prize car, just reload your game. It will restart you at the beginning of the last race again. Run for a different amount of time (to change the random number generator), exit the race again, and see what you get this time. Repeat until you get the car you really want, then save the game.

civic type r with 400bhp:D i also have a skyline gtr with 900bhp:D the steering is a bit bodgy though so i dont know how to fix that. there is too much power when i come out on corners and it spins like hell:(

ill try that save before last track trick, but i have tried save before, actually before the last race and if i go out it says do i want to quit the championship? if i press yes, and come back to it, do i go to the last track?

the oversteer problem your having w/ ur skyline is b/c ur not experienced enuff. Soon you'll like that oversteer. But for now...boost up the TCS and ASM: about 2-3 notches and see if that worked.

*You change these settings by going into a race and not pressing start. go to settings, and then the 2nd option. Then move over untill you see ASM: and TCS:....they should be at 10 and 5, move them to 13 and 8

ok cheers ill try that. well i won the european championship with my evo 7, coming second in some races to the vx220. well i got that 300,000 car and sold it, i now have a 1000bhp skyline:D tuned vx220, high spec evo 7 and a high spec tvr speed 6:p

other cars worth having?

and also what would be helpful is what are mandatory tunes??

Do you mean parts that you must have???

Suspension and Tyres oh and weight reduction veeeeeeeeery essential to tuning. Oh yeah brakes as well, all the power stuff comes afterwards, as audi say power is nuttin without controll.

Although you probably meant something else?

Oh the Corvette Z06 is very good same with the Viper GTS. Lotus Esprit V8 SE is a good faaast car to have as well

Well, no. If you quit the championship you have to restart the series. In between the races, there is a screen similar to the normal single-race screen, but with different options. The first one is "Next" to move on to the next race in the series. A few to the right of that is "Save" (not the "Save Replay" button with the camera on it) that opens the memory card window, without quitting the series. Then, if you turn off or reset your PS2 for a while it will bring you back to that point.

i seem to have always gone for the power options first but now i will keep the others in mind too:)

If I'm going to keep a car (and it doesn't need to remain stock for class reasons), the first thing I do is Lightweight Stage I and II. That can really reduce the amount of work the car has to do, so it's kind of like improving ALL the systems at once, for very reasonable cost.
