What do I do???? I don't want to spend more money on a new wheel. With all the great reviews on Forza 4 (most claiming it to be way better than GT5) I need it! I like playing with a wheel though! I did see the converters that will allow the G27 to work with xbox....are those any good? Or do I sell my g27 (just the wheel) and spend $250 on a fanatec wheel. I will use the fanatec wheel with the g27 pedal and shifter. Whats your opinion????

Hi there,
In a similar situation, I ended up buying a Fanatec CSR, without a shifter. My G25 pedals work perfectly, it fits right on my Wheel Stand Pro and since I did not opt for a shifter, the setup is considerably lighter.
I only played with it briefly but the CSR feels fantastic. Highly recommended.
I just tucked my G25 and shifters away in case of emergencies or malfunctions.

Hope this helps.

Snap esalor I've got exactly the same setup minus the Fanatec.

How much did it cost and do you need to buy a new plate to fit it on the wheel stand pro?

So you have a CSR and used the G25 pedals and they work flawlessly with Forza Motorsport 4? If so, that is a huge relief!

hello, not trying to thread hyjack but I've only got Xbox, and really want a CSR, but it doesn't come with pedals. Should I look at buying the cheapy plastic set for $29 from Fanatec or buy a used set of G25 pedals since they work with the CSR? I can't afford the clubsport pedals, are the G25's decent?

G25's are tons better than the Porsche Standard pedals from what I've heard. I've been using (Abusing for a year) these G25 pedals for about 3-4 years and they are still working fine.

So is it worth shelling out $250 for fanatec wheel to use just for forza 4? Also can I use g27 wheels for the fanatec porsche wheel....I think that one is less expensive

Yes it is.

Besides, if you get the CSR, it's a better wheel than the G25/7 and works with all three platforms, Xbox, PS3 and PC! And yes, I think that you can use the G27 pedals* for the normal Porsche wheels.

The only other Fanatec wheel that works with the Xbox (one of the wheels that they still make) is the GT2 wheel which is pretty much the same price but doesn't come included with the G27 pedal adapter which is $20 (USD but may change depending on where ever you are from.)

I was on Fanatec's site earlier today and it looks like the standard pedals are no longer being offered....which is a good thing. They're not very good.

you need a wheel for Forza?
if you wanna go cheap, buy the Thrustmaster 458 or a Madcatz wheel or a Xbox wheel
if you wanna go absolutely sim, get a Fanatec CSR, CSR, or a GT2
bundle one of those wheels with the Clubsport Pedals, Porsche standard pedals, CSR pedals or CSR Elite Pedals
and then choose the standard porsche shifter or the CSR Shifter

overall, this will cost heaps of money, but its worth it

Saw the price of the Fanatec and decided it was too much for essentially just using it on Forza. So I've got the old MS wheel which looks like the cheapest wheel with FF.

I'll let you know if its any good.

Humm oh did not know you can mix&match like that, have a G27 too for PS3/GT5.
Sell G27 wheel only, buy Fanatec wheel only, buy xbox, buy Forza :p Tempting, but need to save up and buy a new car IRL first.

FWIW

Fanatec has a comparison chart of their wheels here:
http://fanatec.de/html/pw_overview.htm

according to the chart all of the Fanatec wheels (except the CSW) say they will work with G25/G27 pedals.

cool...I do not have a wheel for my Xbox360 so I may start with buying a Fanatec wheel that is compatible and use my G27 pedals!
