I just entered the Trial Mtn enduro.
I meant to switch to the Lotus Elise (a cute little cranberry colored one, unavailable from the dealer in that color). But I didn't push the 'x' while I was looking at it and ended up staying in the Speed 12 I was fooling with.

How could a car that sucked so bad in GT2 be so d*** awsome in GT3? :eek:

Following RoadHazzard's plan, I "slowed down" to keep the mileage and lap count down. I was running in the 1:30 to 1:32 range.

Now I'm pulling 1:29's and just ran two 1:26's and a 1:25.9. :eek:
In a STOCK Speed 12. It will barely shift into 6th gear on the back straight. This car is incredible.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomena? (trying to drive slowly and having your lap times drop dramatically)
 
Well it DOES happen... youre actually driving more carefully... so yeah......
and about your lil.. "accedent" its happened to me before too...
i had a race version car... and i was about to go into F1.. i joined, thinking i was in my f094s, but no! i was in a calsonic skyline or something...
turns out that.... heh.... you don't wanna hear it.. lol
 
Oooh yeah - amazing the difference early braking makes, especially in that thing which arrives at corners awfully quickly.
 
happened to me once (cant remember the details) where I got stuck with a underpowered car!!!

and it was a short race :)
 
Sorry dude it happenes but makes it more fun.
I think they should add a random mode to the game where the computer picks the car you race with.

You mean like in GT2?
The Event Generator evaluated your car then set up a series for you to race in.
 
the Speed 12 is an awesome car, when you can make it go in the desired direction, which is no small task.
 
Actually in GT3 the Speed 12 is WAY better than the monster from GT2. You will not believe how much better it is.
On the upside, I also won the car I wanted, first time.

not when u r in a mini vs race cars on cote!!
my car was pretty stock too!

almost kept up at 1st corner.... then i got left for dead!!!
