Just got to level 30 and unlocked the Red Bull challenge. Crikey! After I don't even know how many attempts I'm still 20secs or so from passing Nurburgring! Just have to hope a friend is good enough to pass then gift me the Red Bull liveried version! LOL

To be honest i found it best to drive a few slower laps and slowly run faster lap to lap. If you want an X1 that bad, there is countless people literally giving them away in the marketplace. But if you want to feel good about having an X1, don't take a gift it ruins the experience

Or you can level up to 35 in B-SPEC and you get it for free. I can do Monza bronze with the controller but the other tracks i dont really even come close.

Just tried the X1 one the challenge and I'm not keen on driving this thing any further! No fun if you ask me. I'll get one after I reach level 35 in b-spec but that's it. Maybe I'll change my mind sometime...

I gave up on that challenge. Feels like a chore to me. I have already traded for one anyway, so I have no desire to complete it.

naw man earn it. the nurburgring track is the hardest to do, for me anyways. tried it for a long time was about 5 seconds off of bronze. tried suzuka and bronzed it in less than 10 tries. helps that i love that track. went to monza because i know the track very well and love it as well was one second off of bronze on the first run. by the fifth or so try bronze. went back to nurburgring finally bronzed it. for the me that was the harder track.

but now i have gone back to driving the other real cars, and they do seem as slow as everybody said they would, but i drive them faster and better. since it seems so slow now my precision is way better. the FGT, 88C-V, toyota 7 anything, they all seem slow and easy to drive. the X1 improved my driving.

Yeah, I say earn it too. At first, I felt like quitting, and just decided to buy one once I hit lv. 40, but in the back of my head, I knew I wasn't going to wait that long. So I kept trying and I eventually got the S. Vettel X2010 at least.

My advice to you is to have SRF on, and if you're using a wheel turn the force feedback all the way down. It became so much easier once I did this.

I'd seen so many horror stories about the level 30 challenge I concentrated on getting to Level 35 in B-Spec. Got my X2010 this morning - it's friggin' amazing!

I couldn't disagree more. I traded for an X2010 yesterday and I plan to use it in the practice area to practice the 3 tracks in the Vettel challenge. When I feel I'm competetive enough at each track, I'll go try the challenge and should win it handily, at least getting the bronze and an earned X2010. And I'll feel good about having done so.

Only thing I would trade for an X1 is my volvo 240. Hate the X1 and the Vettel challenge is just a joke.

I'd rather would have seen Adrian Newey himself setting a few laps to beat than the current world champion, yep still haven't managed this one.

I traded for an x2010 on this site to get some practice using it before attempting the Vettel challenge. Finally got to level 30 and was 3 seconds off bronze on my 1st attempt round Suzuka on my ds3 so worth having for this reason alone oh and for grinding.

haha that would be funny to see him trying to drive his own creation. it would be like the mad scientist trying to control frankenstein. unfortunately he might actually be good at it, he is somewhat of an accomplished race car driver of his own. if im not mistaken he was in a bit of a crash last year. they mentioned at one of the F1 races.

Man how I hated this challenge, with a DS3 I just managed to scrape a bronze on Nurburgring and Monza.. Don't intend to try again.

I just unlocked it also. Its tougher then I thought it would be. And I'm using a wheel. I just cant stay solidly consistent throughout the two laps.

Yep, he was racing in one of the support races for the BTTC, I think he was in a Ginetta. He spun, and got T-boned by another car. I agree though, he is quite handy behind the wheel!
