I am bouncing around my room at the moment as i have just managed to pick up all of my scorpions. This is the first tyime i have been able to as they have seen me as a predator before but they are now getting used to me.

This thread would escape the Lock Event Horizon if you added just a couple of pictures of said animals...

Hopefully the scorpions make you dance your cares away (clap clap)...

Wow man, congrats!

Now snakes and scorpions I could handle with minimal apprehension, but spiders, particularly bigger ones (and whatever the hell Camel Spiders are classed as) are beyond me.

'Scuse me whilst I mentally kick you... Wish people would stop trying to pick up scorpions/spiders...yes I know they're pets but people need to learn one very simple thing

"What do the scorpions get out of it?"

Nothing, except stress and potential harm, why do you think they've seen you as a predator? I'll just wait until you get stung...then they can just enjoy their tank lives.

Scorpions are way cool. Do you have like big Emperor scorpions, or do you have some stupid-dangerous thin-clawed variety?

Nothing, except stress and potential harm, why do you think they've seen you as a predator?
Versus the lack of stress in the wild, where they have to hunt for all of their food and don’t have a temperature-regulated habitat and they’re only attacked by rats, mice, spiders, wasps, birds, lizards, parasitic wasps, frogs…

My sis' had guinea pigs and they certainly didn't like her at first. But when they were sitting on her lap being groomed they certainly sounded like they enjoyed it.

Hell, you can't brush a scorpion but I'm sure it appreciates the warmth, being cold blooded and all.

Do I dare ask?

Congratulations. I thought that they were crawling around rampant in your room and you managed to find and exterminate them. Glad it isn't, though.

I am happy to say i do actually stroke their tails. they seem to like that and was the first thing to do in order to get them used to me being near them.
Sage, they are sub adult eimperials so really not in the least bit dangerous, the claws hurt more than the sting which i am happy to say i have had neither. I would like to keep a death stalker but you cant keep them by law as they are one of the 2 most deadly insects known.
