My 360 just RROD'ed... ( extremely:grumpy: )

What should/can I do?

How much does MS charge for a repair? How long does said repair take? Is this even a good idea?

I have heard rumors about a magically technique that involves being a complete douchebag but nets one a free working 360. It involves Walmart, a broken 360, buying a new one, swapping the cases, and then returning the horse (broken 360) back to the Trojans (Walmart). Does this really work? Honestly, please.

Is there a place to get working 360's for cheap... besides ebay?

If there is an option/question I have not listed please... tell me.

Thanks. And if you have a virtual box of tissues, that would be nice as well, because I may need them...

I wouldn't suggest that as I'm not even entirely sure if that is legal. Sounds like you might be in some hot water if that all goes south, which is all probability it would. And even if it did work that would be a real 🤬 move.

Your best bet is to phone Microsoft and see what they can do for you.

Why didn't you put this in the Xbox 360 forum?

Call MS, tell them you got the 3 RROD and they'll send you a box to ship back to them. They'll either fix it, give you a refurb, or a new one. I've heard it takes several weeks though.

This would be called stealing from Walmart. It doesn't matter how you feel about their business practices, stealing is stealing and its wrong.

If you report it as a RRoD, they'll repair it anyway, I did it with mine even though it was out of the original 1 year warranty, no questions, even though it wasn't actually 3 lights, but just a completely non-functioning 2 light error. Just register a repair with them and get it repaired/replaced within 2-3 weeks.

No, it's called fraud.

Ok ok forget I even suggested it... I am not going to go with the walmart option. I am going to call MS today and see if I can talk to a real person and then assess my situation.
