is it true, or is it what i heard just another phony old rumor.
the rumor is that there is a track editor in GT4!!
and regarding the number of cars i heard they where 500+ but when i went to motor trend's web site, into the games section under featured articles it said 150+, which one is true.

and another thing. i wish that they would include some of the tracks they have in japan which racers use for drifting. i saw one of them in the dvd i bought called the evo strikes back. i'm telling you guys in japan they have awesome tracks other than suzuka that we only now about. i mean tracks that are laid out in such a way that drifting is the only thing that they are good for.
and how about if they include optional sattings that one would use, like drifting setting that is pre-setup for you or racing setting and then you would modifie to your liking...................
just a thought, and a good one i might add.

1.No track editor
2.500+ cars
3. In an inter view with yamauchi he said that there will most likely be a Drift competition type of event. I am personally excited to see if it is true

Deff no track editor even tho it would be cool to have a flat piece of land and you place cones or walls to define the track but oh well maybe GT5 and PS3, yea 500+ cars NOT 150 lol... and Drift competitions will be in GT4

I would really like a track editor, but alas, they can't get it worked out. It seems like it would be simple to have some "track sections" that you select, and maybe the degree angle and distance seperation between them and have it assemble the rest and randomize the scenery. Maxis did similar things with SimCity's terrain generator. Also, in the wayback machine, you'll recall that Excitebike (for 8bit Nintendo) had a track editor which you picked pieces and assembled the track. If you just pick elements and let the machine randomize the remaining pieces it should be easy.

But maybe not.

a skidpad would be nice nonetheless

I agree with what Loud Music said; just a certain section of track. If it were the whole track, I think the PS2 would have some memory problems with that.

I think an editable auto-x track on the skidpad would be much more thesable. Moving some cones around would be a hell of a lot eaier to do from both sides of the table.

And it would be SO MUCH FUN to just drive around blasting cones out of the way (:
