I want to use the cars from the garage in the I-Link battlemode.

So far it only seems to offer the standard cars as cleared in Arcade mode. Doesn't show the Home Garage icon.

Is there a way to use the home garage in I-Link mode? (australia edition)

Nope. All you get are the unlocked Arcade tracks and cars.

YO---what kind of equipment are u using (HUB??????) which, how, and where to buy????????????

WANT TO KNOW!!!!!

Open Arcade mode. Bottom menu item I-Link.
Needs a "firewire" cable and links the second PS2 + TV.
6 pin cable available from any computer store

This is the same as racing on the GT1 and GT2 split screen but each player has their own TV.

Just got my 6pin to 6pin link cable the other day and am waiting for my next days off work so that me and my mate can link up.

I've got a few other mates who are interested in GT and we are all considering pitching in to get a hub and some 6pin to 4pin cables so that 6 of us can hit the track at the same time.

How awesome will that be!

Any good computer store will sell such hubs. All you need is a hub that has 6 ports all of them being 4 pin. Then you need to get yourself a few 4pin to 6pin cables and away you go. The hubs are quite expensive though.

I have a hub and have played 3-player linkup and it's awsome. You just need to buy a 6-port firewire hub and make sure you get the 6-4 wire cables. At some point I'm gonna try and organise a link up tournement in the UK. Should be fun

the downside of i-link:

need multiple tv's
need multiple ps2's
need multiple copies of gt3
need hub and/or cables

can you link up a hub to another hub? or would that be too many ps2's connected together? is there a limit?
