I miss the news section

As the title says, i miss the "Opinions & Current Events", although i fully understand why it was taken down.
But for people not living in the US, it provided usefull insights, news that doesn't reach Europe, about politics and what not.

If there was some way this could be reïnstated, but without the toxic discourse (maybe just posting current events but no opinions from forum members) i'd be all for it.

I don't think it was toxic. The reasons why it was taken down certainly lie elsewhere.

That said, if you are just looking for news without any opinions from forum members, may I suggest simply using any news site?
