I nee major help!!!!!!!!!!!stupid ps2

well,i don;t know why but my stupid ps2 dowsnt work,well it all started 3 weeks ago i turned my ps2 off then i turned it back off but the light flased red & green and i had to wait about 10mins till it wokrked again,any way it happende again but i had to wait 30 mins,it kept going and everytime its took longer 2 play again,now u have to wait about 1 day fo it to work,my warranty is gone,i phones sony,they said it costs $100cdn just to send and have it inspected...........im fed up with dis ****,i opened it up took a look,saw if any electrical traces where not working and nothing seemed to be wrong..please help................i dont wanna fork 100 to SONy for nothing but worries....................

Well, I can't understand half of your post, partly beacuse you "turned it off, then off again" . You might wanna give Sony the money to fix it.

Jesus. You are so quick at replying. I just click the forum jump at the bottom and the next thing I know, there is a new reply to this thread. Does your PS2 smell like something fryed inside of it? I had a very similar problem a couple months ago.

well,i am a computer technician so this would have been easy as of that i work on pc's all the time,but i just cant seem to see why it wont work right away (after 1 day)

Thats precisely(sp) why I thought you should spend the $100 and save yourself the $150. And now that I read your original post over again, it would appear that Sony wouldn't fix it anyways, as you have opened it up. If you go to an Electronics Boutique they might fix it. I think that what my friend did, but I could be wrong. Anyways, good luck, and may the Force be with you.

Mine does, but I still have a month on my warranty, and it only happens with blue-back CD's and FFIX.

try a dvd cleaner disk, ya know those cd things that clean it, my friend had troubles with his and he did that and its fine now and its cheap.

hey dm, does your ps2 make a clicking sound? if it does, thats bcause the laser which reads the disk is out of place, probably bcause its been moved around a lot.
