I need 1GB of RAM. UT2004 just takes too much time to load maps and my comp runs very slow with bitcomet, firefox with multiple tabs, photoshop, winamp, and trillian running at the same time, which I have open much of the time.
So here's my dilema: Buy 1 more stick of OCZ Enhanced Latency Series 512MB PC-3200 Platinum Edition (2-3-2-5 1T) (I currently have 2 256MB sticks of this stuff and only 1 slot open...) for $108 or just ditch the expensive RAM and go for a 1GB dual-channel kit of Mushkin PC3200 (2.5-3-3) for $136.
I don't really overclock anymore, and even when I did, I never increased any voltage. I just upped the FSB to 190-ish. Not much of an improvement. I don't have the heatsink (stock) to get it any higher.
So should I go for the expensive RAM (no dual-channel) or should I go for the cheaper RAM (with dual-channel) and If I wanted to, I could up it to 1280MB with no dual-channeling, if Mushkin and OCZ decide to play well together.
thoughts/opinions/suggestions?
