ok well i have the other half of this test tomorow (we had like half the time of the usual class and he said to do what we could do within that time). well anyways, i did all i knew how to and i am left with 6 questions.

number 5- find the slope of 3x+4y=7
number 6- find the Y intercept of a line whose equation is x+3y=2
number 7- find the x intercept of a line whose equation is -3x+5y=9
number 9-write the standard form of a line that passes through -1, -2 and has a slope of 3
nmber 13- write the slope intercept form of a line that has the slope of 3/4 and passes through -8,1
number 14- write the slope intercept form of a line that passes through -6, -4 and -2,1

an answer plus how to do it would be very nice. i'll have about 10 minutes before i go to school tomorow to check this site so please don't make the reading too long.

P.S. and yes i did just write these 6 questions on my arm then i was going to look up how to do them, but i was kind of busy tonight. got back about half hour ago and went to bed... then i remembered half hour later.

I don't feel right about this, but oh, well.

5. Solve for Y. Slope is the coefficient on X.
6. Plug in 0 for X
7. Plug in 0 for Y
9. Plug the points and slope into point-slope form of (y-y1)=m(x-x1). use basic algebra skills to get into General (standard, Ax+By=C) form.
13. Again, plug into Point-slope form. This time, use algebra skills to get y-variable on one side.
14. Find slope between the 2 points. Plug the slope and one of the 2 points into Slope-intercept form. Get the y-variable on one side.

I'm not giving the answers. I'm not only too tired to do them, I don't endorse cheating. This is a study session. ;)

I'm quite partial to –A/B. ;)

Of course, once you learn how to do derivatives, it's amazing how that goes back full circle to the concept of m (and finding the slope by just looking at the coefficient of x). Cool stuff.

Can i make a suggestion for a new forum? Homework Help Forum. But they can only go so far. They show them how to do it on a different problem then Base it off what their current Equation would be. I would try to help other users and i would support this forum .but its just a suggestion.

Well, enough helpful suggestions have been put forward. We arent here to do your homework 👎
