ok so my leadership teacher wants us to do a demonstration speech and I want to use Gran Turismo, the problem is it can't be just information I have to teach the audience(my classmates) how to do something so what could I teach them that revolves around Gran Turismo?

If this isn't in the right section please mods feel free to move it to the correct section please

...Hey, as long as you don't make it about how to communicate with your customers, then it's all good. :sly:

Seriously speaking though, GT Academy idea is great, but how about the impact the GT brand (and the games of course) had on marketing of cars, to such extent some PR guys crediting early GT games for sudden increase in sales?

GT Academy is a good one, you could also demonstrate the racing line and why its important.

Kind of a different approach to what others have said regarding GT Academy...

Not sure where you're from, but in Canada, driving tests are ridiculously easy. Most driving courses teach you how to pass the test, not how to practice safe driving. You can use GTA as an example of what good driver training ought to look like. Drivers ought to learn how to prevent/control fishtails, emergency avoidance, and other high performance driving techniques that can help one become a defensive, safe, driver.*

*I'm not sure if GTA actually teaches these things, but I assume it does since it's a high performance driving program essentially.

That's what I have in mind as well. Since it seems like they want you to teach some kind of skill (how to do something), perhaps the skill of finding a fast line through a set of corners could be suitable?

Off topic: I was very confused until I realized that you meant GT Academy instead of Grand Theft Auto... I've spent far too much time in the non-GT sections of GTPlanet

Yeah, don't use Grand Theft Auto as an example of good driver training

A good leader should delegate. Teach the boys how to change oil, teach the girls how to improve body rigidity.
If you manage to pull that off, send the teacher out to wash your car for extra credits.

I like this idea but I'd use GTAcademy as the clincher to put the idea over. As you go through your presentation you can discuss the principles of weight transfer, tire load, lateral acceleration, over and under steer, threshold braking, driving in the rain etc. and how it all comes together for learning emergency and safe driving technique. Naturally your audience and your teacher will likely be skeptical about how videogames skills transfer to the real world but that's where GTA comes in at the very end when you through up the pictures of GTA winners and their real world accomplishments to cinch the deal. Easy A+👍👍
