I need help (Photo Mode, PSP Compatibility)

On this here site, GTPLANET.NET, it says that the PSP is compatible to save photos from photo mode. However, when I went to go save a photo of mine, an error came up. I had the PSP powered on and in USB mode, connected via Mini 5-Pin data cable (usually works for the Socom 3 maps, and for transferring data to and from Socom 3/Fireteam bravo, and Transferring data to and from SmackdownvsRAW06-PSP/Smackdown vs RAW 06-PS2). But for some reason It won't save the pictures. Any help?

Thanks I'm a fairly new GTA-er since this past monday, and enjoy this game so much. Im glad to find some nice communities like these with users who don't flame you for being a n00b and asking stupid questions.
 
Judging from that topic I guess the PSP is uncomfired, but why would it be listed in the compatibility list if it doesn't work? Has anyone tried it or do they just assume?
