The only thing I found that helped was being a lot less aggressive.
before I done the S licence I would go through a set of tires way to quickly, so obviously my driving style was to untidy for the later parts of the game.
I started making corners and things much more tidy through practice and passed all the tests with relative ease. (except the last one )
On the last test you realy have the be gentle on the throttle and make lots of corrections to the stearing otherwise you just end up pointing the car in the opposite direction. that car being the rather beastly Toyota GT-one. (with the driving assists forced to the "off" position, which it should be anyway )
They are both roughly the same, except for the race version is already set up to race, and has more power and weighs less, as far as i can remember. The race version is better but not as far as in most other cars.
the Imprezza compared to the rally version for example.
Depends on the parts you use.
again the Race version is built to race. the road version will have road spec parts, although the only version there is a road version was so Toyota could enter the car in Lemans. although im not realy an expert, so i'm close to guessing
