I need more pull!

I'm talking about 4x4 for the most part my rwd cars are fine. I have issues with the TC'S(r33,r34,r32). I have for the most part great launches. I race my friends same car vs same car and I always get the faster launch off the line but at the end they end up pulling away. I want to learn how to get more pull. I try I lower my final gear and then raise it more but nothing is working.

Lower downforce

It might be your mid range gear placement. Play with that. Top speed might not be the problem.
 
At the moment my shift points are like this...I start in 1st then I sort of short shift to 2nd then for me to get the most pull I almost have to redline then shift from 4th-6th.
