Hello. I am Oleg (PSN ID - Olegonic). 38 years old. I like to drift in GT5. My tool is G27. Experience on wheel - 9 months. Channel on YouTube - Olegonic.
I have only one video with my perfomance on track to judge my skills.
So, after adding tens of people whom I met on track before, we either didn't meet any more for tandems or they play other games and there is no chance for me to start tandems with them. I just can't find someone with wheel who constantly shows up on track for drifting. I use to drift 5-6 days a week, 18.00-22.00 UK time, my practice consists of 25-30 laps on each track (Suzuka east,
Tsukuba, Eiger Nordwand short). Then I move on to online lobby.
One more important thing, I am a seaman - Engineer and I am currently on ship so my internet connection (sattelite) is not as perfect as at home. Might lag.
So if anybody doesn't bother about connection and spend most of the time drifting, I would be very apreciated to meet with you and not only slide but share settings, tricks and so on, you know what fans are talking about with each other.....

Playing from a boat? wow.

Head to one of the few drift events going around recently, you'll undoubtedly meet a few new drift buddy's there!

Also check out the "What's with all the hate on G27" thread. Weird thread title for a place to find friends, I know, but there's a whole bunch of wheel users in that thread all looking for people to tandem with.

Also go to the "Drift teams and meets" section, and see if you can find one of the weekly drift events that are starting to pop up. Since you play UK times, the Sunday Night Blackout would probably work best for you.

Thanks for tips.
I know about team meets, there are 8-12 drifters in the lobby. With my connection I would spoil their fun. I'd rather meet with 2-4 constant friends with voice chat "off" to improve lobby connectivity.
Teams are often groups where people are not so interested in strangers, I'm still looking for a lonely drifters to match on track with me. Or via versa.
And yeah, I'm on boat now, heading to Ireland from Manchester.

I think I met you somewhere. From what I remember - you were lagging terribly flying all over the place.

Even small lags make tandem quite hard. Maybe it was room host's problems.

Glad to see someone from Russia here. Good luck 👍

When I read the first sentence I first thought it was a craigslist add 👍:sly:👍

Join some of the drift events, that's where you can make friends.

If you really want to then I can do some tandem runs with you. Although I go to bed an hour earlier than when you stop playing GT5 on weekdays. Feel free to add me on PSN (which is the same as my GTP username).

I must admit that playing Gran Turismo 5 on a boat is a very nice experience :) .
