actually its more economical to buy smaller amounts at a time rather than filling her up to the limit....

30 gallons is HEAVY and a greater load for your car to handle, it uses a lot of fuel just to carry the fuel....seems silly to me...i always fill up £10 at a time, thats about 12 gallons (i think)...the fuel lasts longer.
 
I remember doing cross country trips and seeing road signs warning you that there'd be no more gas for 130 miles. It's a pretty cool feeling, knowing that your officially entering the middle of nowhere, as long as you gassed up.

Where are you ripping that off from? :D

£10 is roughly 13 litres (or 2.8 Imperial gallons).
 
Isn't it dangerous to carry a full gas/petrol can in teh back of your car. You fuel tanks should be properly protected incase of an accident, but most fuel cans have little protection, and them babys will go up no problem in a crash.

Before it was an interstate highway, Alligator Alley was infamous for having 86 miles of nearly straight road that had no service stations or rest stops. It was a two-lane road that went from the east to west coast of Southern Florida, thus, it just rams straight through the Everglades, so hardly a soul lives out there. You got a lump in your stomach when you saw the sign saying "Next exit, 86 miles"...

Now, it's a four-lane interstate, a great place to try 100 mph without trying, and home to the world's longest traffic stop.
