I suffer from UCD

One more side effect of this debilitating UCD is avoiding purchasing premium cars, because they can be had at any time.

I feel like once Ive got all the UCD cars then I can move on to the premium dealership. I've been meaning to pick up the Mclaren F1 for a few days now, but I keep blowing the money and putting it off since its a premium and always available.

Exactly the same for me, but instead of the McLaren, I've been putting off the '10 Camaro SS and it's RM counterpart. Hell, I even have the paint schemes in mind.

Taking one step back for every three steps forward at the minute.

Grinding away trying to earn enough cash to afford a Chaparral or something similar when it shows up, but every 5 races and 585k I earn I see some nice little things in the UCD and end up blowing half of it.

:/

Every time the ucd refreshes I usually find a couple of nice cars. Luckily I like the cheaper ones so I don't need to grind that much. Doing 5 indy races every now and then gives me enough for day's purchases.

Although recently I have been in the mood for buying anything that I may like, or something that may be rare or just looks even slightly tempting.

The sad thing is I spend more time buying cars than driving them. Literally the only things I do in gt5 is either grind money doing indys, buy cars or hotlap and do races on Nordschleife.

I think at one point I had over 10 million credits... Recently I got the penniless trophy.

I'm just like this... My classic car cups are unfinished because I can't afford a expensive classic like the Toyota 7 or something like that because I win like 600k and spend all on the UCD...

And I suffer from an even worse disease: UBD - Used Beetle Disease. Just bought my 6th VW Beetle. o.O And I got 2 Karmanns too.

Impulse shopping brought me the volvo estate and a ton of other non exciting cars.
I'm almost there as far as credits are concerned for the FGT.

For me it's not the expensive cars that are bankrupting me. I'm being nickle and dimed to death just about every time I visit the UCD (which is every single time it's updated.) I can easily keep myself from buying a 200,000cr car, but I seem to have no trouble buying 3 or 4 50,000cr vehicles each visit. :)

What's even worse is that I'll likely never even drive most of them. :)

oh man this syndrome is killing me, recently bought a CTR, a Chrysler Prowler in which I blowed like 250k and drives horribly, Tommy Kaira (good deal), S2000 Gran Turismo Race Car, a green Honda Accord just for the color... blabla this and that, never stops.

I just HAD to spend 100k on that Imola Orange Pearl '97 NSX Type S-Zero but I felt so inconvenienced that I had to buy a brand new Mini for the Mini Challenge.

I blasted to level 11 in just one night... and now I'm stuck, because I can't finish any series. The moment I've saved up to buy a car I need for a series... oooh... there goes another one... *click*.

They should sell medication for Used Car Disorder... they'd make a mint.

Which in this case means Used Car Disease. I cannot save up for anything large like an FGT or an F1 car because there are so many tasty and appealing cars popping up in my UCD. Just when I get my money correct I get hit with an F1 GTR, or a R390 Race car, or an Oreca Viper, or a Speed 8. I figure the next time I get over 5 million I should probably get tempted by a CLK GTR or something of the like.

Damn you GT5 and your never ending string of super cars for me to blow my cash on.

Ah yes I am the same way! It took me about three weeks longer then anticipated to get my FGT because of all the goodies in the UCD! But it'll be worth it when I can go to my garage and enjoy driving a bunch of cars I love!👍

I also love to buy those used cars, but I usually go for those obscure ones. Like the Midget. Bought it, tuned it until nothing else could be added, won the Pickup Truck events - and won a Midget. :D

I've done alright surprisingly. I've just used the cars i've won so far to win the other series, as I'm afraid that if I spend my money on what I want now I'll end up with duplicates after I win some of the races. I've got a little over 8 million now and I'm at 88 percent complete (had to spend 725,000 on a lexus to win the german touring car thing).

after I reach 100 percent though it's on for me. I'm gonna be buying up a storm.

The worst is when I have to sell some cars to make the money to buy the car I see in the UCD before it goes away. And then later I end up buying the car I sold...again in the UCD.

I had 11mil....then I went to the new dealership and picked up the FGT and the Gillet race car....then I went to the UCD and got the Suzuki Dirt trial car...

Now I have 1mil. :(

It could BE a mint, lol...

...another UCD sufferer

Hi, my name is Woody3 and I also have GT5 UCD.

(Whew! First step to recovery.............. Probably not, but hey, worth a shot, right?)

Today, I did some power refreshing to find rare cars, and I found a lot :D
I started with just over 13 million Cr. today and now only have 5.4 million Cr. now...

heheh @ dabest, I haven't spent that much...but i may just have bought 13 cars...:yuck: *cough* suffering UCD is terrible...

in 957 bloody days though I am yet to find a BTR...I shall find ye yet ye bastard!

I've been clicking High Speed Ring practice and immediately exiting just to refresh the UCD for the past 1-2 hours. I suffer from it too.

i used to have the same trouble but then i started focusing on buying up all the premiums i wanted, painting them to look awesome, tuning them to my style and then test driving them on my favourite tracks in arcade mode.

when u start doin this you actually stop wanting extra cars in your garage and the best part is there is no better way to improve your time on any circuit than racing your own ghost so when you into online races on that track you'll be awesome!!

but if that dont work for you then do what i've been doing on the side - try and buy only the rare cars from UCD and try to keep each one below 300k if u can (most will be much less) then trade up in the marketplace for the car you want.

dont worry bout this guys cus soon enough you'll get bored and start on some of the other parts of the game and doing different stuff. u could design and trade tracks, or have a specialised paint shoppe or set up an online racing league - the possibilities seem endless lol, mostly thanks to gtplanet tbh :)

I sold the Ford Lightning 2 times, and bought it 3 times. lol

yeah something is definitely wrong with me. I just have to have it in my garage... I sell it because I think it's horrible and over-used, but I just can't not have it. I just feel like soon enough it'll prove its worth to me.

I also bought the Viper GTS-R Concept twice... deleted the first one I had because I didn't like how much power it had and you can't undo N/A tunes. 988hp just seemd ridiculous so I "re-purchased" it and now it sits in my garage with 600hp and no mileage lol

I decided to treat myself with a nice premium car (I don't own more than 20 of those), and settled for an LFA. I then stumbled upon the UCD, and the FTO LM Race Car in there, wich I couldn't afford, being 100 000 Cr short.

Sold the 0 Miles LFA.

I was saving up my money after a recent spending spree...and decided what better way to make money than with the new seasonal events (especially considering I don't need to buy the Citroen because I already got one with a gift ticket)...then I just had to go to the used car dealership to get the Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car....

2 million credits later, the majority of earnings will now be spent on getting back to where I was lol

On the brightside...my garage (see below) is starting to fill up with some nice cars.

Edit: Update...worked back up to 5mil through B-Specing...because I was watching tv at the same time. Checked the UCD, and found a Panoz Esparante Race car '98. Spent another 3mil...back to 2mil again. Doh!

Nice car though....but still I've bought so many cars lately, I haven't even driven. Once I'm finished all the tournaments in A and B Spec, I'm going to do them again in some of my fancy new cars ;)
