At the risk of being told to 'learn how to use the search feature', I have a question...

My 2 day old wheel is having a gas pedal problem. It is only with GT4 though. With the gas lifted completely the gas pedal bar on screen still shows almost 1/2 throttle and the car will drive away unless the brakes are applied. I tried the wheel on Colin McCrae Rally 3 and GT3 and had no problems with the gas or break after trying stops, powerbraking, sitting still without brakes, etc. Does this mean I'll have to send this thing in already? I have read about the problems people have with the DFP, but if after 2 days this is the case, Im considering getting my $143 back and putting it toward something that wont break after 3 hours of use it 2 days :nervous:

I did some searching but didnt really find anything about this situtation (let the flaming fly  )

you prolly need to recalibrate your DFP for GT4, go to options. It might help but not 100% sure

I went to options...dont see anything about recalibrating though. Just button configs and settings. I have also tried unplugging power, USB, etc.

Ok, there's a thread hovering around here that covers common problems with the DFP try asking there?

Already posted in that 1st one :) I guess maybe I play with this thing some and see if anything works...if not I'll just go bug some Logitech desk jockey. Funny thing is, I left my receipt in the glove box of my truck since I figured this would happen :indiff:

haha good for you to keep a recipt! DFP is not available in my country so, this is a i can help you with! sorry bro! i wish i had one tho, i'd prolly make a killer setup with this as my seat!!

but then again i'm just dreaming

I have the same problem with one of my Logitech sterring wheels. I havent really addressed it yet, I thought maybe it was broken and just use my other one. Now that I know its not just me, It might be something we can fix. Ill get back to ya.

I'd exchange it. The wheel really is worth owning. I've heard of issues like this, but I haven't had a similar problem with mine. Also try searching for 'pedal repair'.

s12ken, please know I'm not trying to single you out, because most of your posts aren't like this.

But, to people in general, think twice before posting messages that really don't add anything to the thread. There is a huge volume of traffic on this board, and please just use some restraint and don't post things that truly aren't important.

OMG i have the exeat same problem! I get so pissed of at it but if I unpug it it sometimes gos away.my gas constantly go on or my gas peddle is stuck even though im not pushing it down I HATE IT!!!

I have a problem with GT3 that my force feedback slowly fade away until there is none and finally the whole thing quits working and the way I fix it is by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Since I cleaned the contacts it doesn't do it anymore ever. But sometimes I still have that problem you described, well sort of. It's just with the brake instead of the gas and the brake gas wont go past half throttle. It's weird, I'll floor it and it wont go then it will stop and go into neutral untill I unplug the pedals from the wheel and reinsert them. Sometimes I have to do it twice but it always comes around. It does it in every game tho, not just GT4.

Just try unplugging the pedals, and plugging them back in again (at the wheel)

I had tried all the unplugging/plugging of every cord to the DFP earlier, but didnt work.

I use my DFP with my computer too and the problem didnt start until after I first used it on my PC. I just unplugged it a bit ago from the PC and plugged it into GT4 with the game already running. Worked just fine. Drove around a bit, no gas or brake pedal problems. Maybe it had something to do with calibration between the two systems... :)

I had this same problem with my set of pedals. I bought the DFP a month ago. What I did was call Logitech explained the problem, gave them the serial #, and model #. Since it was still under warranty they sent me a new set of pedals. I did not even have to send them the old set.

I have found post on this site that does talk about this problem and what was said is that there is a revA set of pedals that have this problem and Logitech will replace them with a revB.

Try calling Logitech they might can help you out with this one. Good luck

I look at your post once again and came up with another idea. The problem that I just talked about is really for the brake pedal.
Your problem however could be because the driving aids being on. Check that out in your car's settings.

My personal DFP failure rate is at 50%. I actually have two wheels, both of which are replacements for ones that had to be returned because of the pedal bug. My friend's DFP also still needs to be returned for the same problem. So, between the two of us, we're looking at 6 wheels to get 3 that work.

I had a similar proplem but mine was with the brake pedal. I would occasionally brake in a game not hard but you could see the the brake light flickers on and of. 👎
