I think I'm going to get penalty points and a fine.

So you averaged over 66Mph? That's quite impressive.
Seventy-two mph for roughly 95% of the total miles will do that. :sly: Offset very quickly by the less than 20 mph as soon as I hit downtown.

And a 20-45mph tail wind will push a Honda Pilot to 24 mpg, btw.

We always get off in Canada. Whoever has to deal with the case knows it's usually BS and petty anyway, so they pass you through to get to the more serious stuff.

I sure hope so.
"Clocked" at 110 in a 60 (KM/H).
Was coasting down a hill into a valley at night, cop must've been off the road (and thus on private property, something they're not allowed to do for radar), was slowed back down to around 70 coming out of the valley and didn't see lights behind me for another kilometer after that.

Ticked for "Excessive speed", although I'm sure I was doing about 95 and the cop just eyeballed me.
So I contested it a few days after I got the ticket (back in March), and haven't gotten a court date yet. I'll change the court date to make it a further pain in the ass for the cop, and hope for the best. I've got a few things going for me, and I think I've got about a 50/50 chance of winning the case, provided that they show up.

Because I'd rather go to court than pay a $360 ticket.

Nige, i deliver cars to people all day.

I did 437 miles the other day in 8 hours flat, with some very slow moving traffic.

I do average about 200 a day, but usually its more. I was erring on the low side when i said 80,000 a year, but who needs to brag about stuff like that.

So is there an update Mark?

:irked:👍

I did 970 km in exactly 7 hours. 133 km were mountain passes and roads.

837 km on the German highways. Didn't get any fine or ticket.

Doesn't that bother you? Driving that long is surely very tiring? Or have you adapted to it, VEXD?

Its tiring, but i dont notice, because its the one thing i love to do.
I get to drive all sorts of cars all the time, up to 8 different types a day, and none of them are over 6 months old.

And its VEXD.

Sureshot. :sly:

Not at the moment, although it's a bit off topic I have been having heart palpitations so I had to go hospital on Friday. I think that Famine puck of doom is gradually having an effect on my body.

I had a blood test, no problems there. Having a heart scan this week and a 24hr heart monitor.

Its seemingly quite common amongst young males. I've had it twice, and had to go into hospital overnight on 2 occasions. First one was on my 29th birthday, and the next time was 6 years later.

I was put on a drip on both occasions and it was sorted out. They explained to me that the drip would sort it out, but if it didn't, they would stop my heart and then shock it back to life and into rhythm. The 2nd time I was in, my heart was still beating irregularly when he told me that, but as he said it, it started beating normally! He frightened it into behaving! I'm not on any medication for it, but the doc says it will happen again, and I will be on medication for it by the time I'm 60.

I was given a 24 hour heart monitor the first time, but not the 2nd time.

EDIT: I wasn't hit on the head by that pucker Famine though, so I don't know what caused mine.

Everything that you posted made me feel better apart from "they would stop my heart and then shock it back to life". :)

I'm assuming that's it's just the stress of work or it could be my Playboy lifestyle (I wish!)

Couldn't they just give you a big warm bowl of Porridge? ;)

Its the smokes mate.

Just knock em on the head, and get more money to be able to afford to drive faster and not worry about red lights at all in future.

Thing is, I don't smoke. That cigarette I had with you at The Ocho was my first in about 6 years.

I've never smoked either.

One of the things they said causes it is caffeine.

I am drinking a cup of coffee as I type this...

I have one tea/coffee a week with some biscuits, normally on my lazy Sundays. I haven't used the kettle at work since I bought it 2 years ago. I've been fine all weekend, no palpitations, got into work today and then they started again within half hour.

Think I might get a job somewhere really chilled out, like a library.

Sounds like its stress related. What do you do? Is it stressful?

Yeah, it is a bit chilly in here. I've shut some windows though. :dopey:

Well I manage a letting agency so it's always busy and I'm normally chasing tenants for rent and dealing with landlords demanding rent. I never really thought it was stressful but when I think about it I'm so used to being stressed at work that I don't notice it. The Doctor did say that it's probably my body telling me to slow down a bit.
