And why would I paint the hood black? That would look pretty bad

No-one from anything further than 5 paces would see the difference.

plus if I went to any car show it would automatically label me as a poser.

What, as opposed to turning up in a yellow Golf with a useless carbon fibre bonnet and wheels too big for the engine to turn?

Most of the 20th Anny verisons came in Imola Yellow. In fact I don't think I've seen any other color although I think someone said they came in black...which I don't want. The Konigs must be after market since all the 20th Anny ones I've seen have 18 OZ Racing rims on them which is what I believe what they came with.

I don't understand why you don't think the engine wouldn't turn the rims. I'm not going to get 80lb chrome rims for it. I don't really know what rims yet, but I'll find them. It's not important to get them the moment I get the car, but eventually I'll want them. Plus if I just went +2 there wouldn't be a problem.

The cars brakes are plenty big enough to stop the extra rotational mass. But like I said I'm not going to race it, I don't really want to rag on the car to much.

Hiya! :D :O :lol: Meow! (='.'=)

When you do your modifications, post up some pictures! :O I feel like you are putting in things that would make that car interesting. :O 👍

I'm gonna agree and disagree with Famine.

On 18" wheels, I think they are too big. I've seen few R32 Golfs, and I think they come with 18's. They are hideous looking, way too unproportionate. I'd go with nice 17" BBS type rims.

On the black hood, this obviously isn't a problem in U.K., where Famine lives. In the States, painting your hood black will turn the coolest car, automatically as laughable as Kia Sephia. There is only one way to do a black hood properly, and that's with carbon fiber hood. 30lbs weight reduction doesn't sound too bad. Lighter weight will help the car with MPG, performance, wear on the car(OK really minimal).

Don't get me wrong, painting your bonnet black in the UK will attract instant ridicule, but so will putting a carbon fibre bonnet on a supermarket car - and 12 out of 10 people won't be able to tell the difference.

The point was, if you're going to be a muppet and spend, what, $300 on a carbon fibre bonnet you don't need and don't want for the single fundamental property that makes carbon fibre good, just so that you can look cool why not save your money (preferably by not doing it in the first place) and just get a black bonnet since no-one more than 5 paces away even if they know what they're looking for will know the difference?

Then again, I've seen BlazinXtreme's Blazer, so I'm probably falling on deaf ears.

CF Bonnet on shopping trolley = Dumb.

:lol::lol::lol:

I've seen few of those trucks, and I must say........ Blazin's the most normal looking person driving it. There's even a lady who drives one, exactly like the one Blazin's got. She's got a mullet, and alway is dressed like a hippy(in a really bad way). :lol: Enough making fun of Blazin's truck. :D As far as the carbon fiber hood goes, I don't think it's worth the money either.

:( Oww my pride....:lol:

Anyways this is going no where fast.
