Won't make my initial post very long.

It seems the primary complaint with this is that it ruins the "economy", the "marketplace".

That is a short term issue. In the long run, most people are going to have either all of the cars, or all of the cars they want, and the whole "economy" thing people are griping about will grind to a halt.

A last note, that this game isn't an mmorpg or anything that actually has an economy driven gamestyle. It doesn't really matter how many there are of a certain car in the population.

Agreed. ITS A GAME PEOPLE!

I predict the result of the cheating you refer to will be PAID dlc cars with actual cash that is locked on to the account the same way chrome and stealth cars are. This way there will be some type of exclusivity remaining after the dupe.

There is an economy in this game, as there is in every game where there is some kind of online activity. There are desirable features that mean much to other people, despite it not meaning anything to you.

With 5.5 million games sold it was only a matter of time when most of the cars would be oversaturated on the "market" if gt5 had a in game trade lobby then you would really see some saturation.

No doubt the bday cheat and the save game cheat aggravated the situation but really buying cars in game is just a matter of grinding a handful of races period or letting your bobs do it. Oh and leveling high enough to buy them which is why i absolutely despise the level system. Licenses i can see but making buying cars purely level based was silly since it takes a good while to just level up past a certain point and not many people are going to actually do the endurance races past the 4 hours mark, lest if they are sane or have any sort of life.
