First of all, I'd just like to say whatz up to everyone!!  

I wondering if there is a way to change the RPM meter in 2 player mode so it isn't digital anymore???  And also is there a way to play 2 players side to side, instead of the usual top and bottom view.

No, unfortunately there is no way to change this.  The space limitation is probably the reason.
