I whant to DONATE 100$ to PD for Ebisu DRIFT track and Downhill runs

I have more than 100 bucks now in my PSN wallet and if someone from PD read this post just make some kind of "donation for development" box on a Gran Turismo 5 starting screen RIGHT NOW to give me a chance to donate to PD my 100 bucks for their success in DRIFT TRACKS modelling in future DLC.
Im very VERY suprised that being sponcor of D1 championship PD just dont
do nothing to develop somehow drift events, make drift more interesting.
I can see a lot of piople in this community like to drift but what we have is just 3 premium OLD cars from D1 and NO ONE drift track such as Ebisu, Maze circuit, Autopolis or Long Beach.
I can assume that Kaz HATES drift, but hi IS a MANAGER, DIRECTOR of a GT5 and if I was him I could have seen that drift IS very POPULAR in GT5 and to attract more money through DLC tracks and cars I need to improve this direction in the game.
Well I really hoped that we will get something new about drift in Spec2.0 - NOTHING!!!! At list I thougth if not a track and car but something like TANDEM drifts, Better scoring system wich will shut up those Cerbera Speed and Buick lovers, so we could have a chance to show our skills on track, not a overpowerd burnout paradice.
And the worst thing that I think NOTHING will be done by PD to give us Drifters something more.
Anyway, if it helps, I am ready to donate 100 dollars to PD just for my hope that may be one day OUR dreams come trough.
Not a wish list, but something wich I think not so difficult to change in game by coding:
1. Separate leaderboard for wheel/controller users
2. Improve scoring system
3. Tandem drifts online

And now is what I would pay for:
1. New drift tracks
2. Kumakubo's IMPREZA, KAWABATA's SILVIA, COROLLA AE86 Droo-P
3. Drift events in A-Spec
4. Downhill drifts Mount Haruna

Bah, Ebisu.. What about Gunsai? Now that is properly challenging and true Touge track.
 
Well i dont think PD hates drifting but its weird indeed that they dont include more for drifters because its indeed a sponsor for D1 and even at drift tracks they have logos from them around he track when there is a event, so i dream as well to have Ebisu south in GT5 its just lame to only have D1 tracks like Fuji, Suzuka and Tsukuba but they should have put Ebisu, Meihan, Maze or just a similair track like this.. Plz include something in the next DLC PD!
 
Send Kaz a link to this thread on his Twitter feed. If you're not on Twitter you're missing out on info and whatnot about stuff you're into.
 
I'm sorry, but the day I see a donate button anywhere near Gran Turismo i'll quit playing, totally unprofessional and would just make the whole thing a mockery.

Drift has its own practice mode with point system

You can make online drift lobbies

There are numerous actual drift cars in the game

There are numerous drift seasonals

Gran Turismo touched on drifting WAY more than they had to, and way more than 'real' racers would ever need

Not to mock drifting but its definitely not a legitimate racing series and this is a racing game after all

Be happy with what you have..

Ebisu would be amazing but PD has already supported drifting far more than it needed to (besides the scoring modes).
 
$100 isn't going to buy you a lot of development time, that's for sure. It might cover a 15 minute consultation session :)

I Think they wont add ebisu , but it would be Awesome if they do ;)
 
mostly the question is not how sooner get what we whant ( drifters) but
HOW PD could earn a little more money on those DLC things for drifters?
If you dont like drift, dont buy DLC Drift package.
I dont like INDY races, rally, I will not buy DLC rally pack. Indy pack.
Drift online IS just a room description NOT a drift event at all.
I can do a drift in a local supermarket with a trolley and they (administration of supermarket) dont pretend to be called DRIFTERS PARADISE..................

Well i dont care about the point system to be honest drifting is not for me like that, unless i was D1 based. Drifting in drift mode feels very unrealistic compared then when you drift in Trial mode, i know about the other things but its more about tracks for me then what you said. Ofcourse they putted effort to do something for drifters but in my opnion there are just a few things missing about drifting in GT5 to enjoy it for me even better. They should add more options too about the suspension tuning like offset because a Silvia S15 looks just like a boat now and that ruins drifting a legendary car for me. :yuck:

People DO drag runs online...Does it mean there is drag in Gran Turismo 5????
 
For the fact that drifting is a Japanese folk sport, it's really not well supported in GT5.

Would be awesome if we get some crazy Japanese hill roads to drift & race on. :D


OP, I think you are better if you spend your 100$ on a RC drift car. :lol:

As already said, I doubt $100 would put even the smallest dent in the budget required to get that track scanned, modeled and textured plus all the AI / logic stuff. It's a few months' work for a handful of people; I don't know how much you value your time, but I don't think a couple of dollars per day (shared amongst the team) is going to cut it!

Still, Ebisu would be nice. Gunsai even better, although there are already Touge-style races occurring online.
 
I think the Ebisu park would be a fantastic addition to the available courses in gt5. The circuits could offer good fun for super gt 300 & 500, along with road and touring cars. The touge run would be great for cat & mouse racers and a huge hit for the drift groups on gt planet. would anyone else like to see Ebisu, or maybe even the gunai touge added some day?
 
If we're just donating and not purchasing, why donate to PD when Kaz is worth $60 million? I doubt they are hurting financially. Surely there are better ways to donate your $100.
 
PD needs to replicate northcourse ebisu, south course and the touge. they cud have one whole DLC Drift pack and put 15 or so dollars on it and make a fortune! so many ppl drift online. drift teams and others could really benefit from this. i dunno why they dont have drift courses even though they are a sponsor :S
 
$100 ahah. The game got 60 million and couldn't afford special drift stuff.

Ya more drift stuff would be cool. They need more online drift stuff the most tho. Right now it's just drift around with people and is boring as ****. The stupidest is they still have the start race button lol. Than it actually starts a real race ahah. Like seriously wtf! At least make it some sort of point system drift to rank people or start each person 10sec after one another so everyone gets to drift with everyone but still far enough not to hit anyone.
