Just won console setup worth 3000 pounds! including wide screen tv, ps2 and pedals etc... YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! must say, if u guys were there I wouldnta won Im sure! but it still feels good to be "the best" :P

comp took place on NEW YORK track with NSX lemans car.
I opted for Manual but the gear change was opposite to how I normally play, so very weird at first, but got itnto it eventually.

Congrats! Great that you used manual and it will be cool to play vs you online, tell us more about the race!

Congratulations, bet you'll be hammering away on GT3 with that setup before GT4 comes out.

cheers folks, if anyones in london next feb, u can pop around to my place and give it a go!!!

The race:

Got to the show, and dashed straight to the GT4 stand to check out the times

1.35.5 was the top time. tried my hand and got a 1.37.***
then tried again and got 1.36.*** which got me in thru to the next round.

Then in the best of 6 section got a 1.34 which was the fastest and unofficially got 1.33!!!

In the final, head to head, (no network, just timed) my friend told me I looked ALOT slower, but I was just trying to be as smooth as possible, not mounting the kerbs, cos it seemed I was loosing time that way! and managed a 132! fastest time of the day!

Now to try my hand at the REAL THING.

Cant wait to try network gaming!

Prize includeds a wide screen tv, ps2, wheel and GT4 when its released! cant wait!
 
So you were playing on some kind of gt4 build? How did it play? Ah only few days left for prologue version : )
 
its the same version that was at The PS Experience in Earls court, five/six tracks, including the Grand Canyon stage, Tsukuba(brilliant track) new york and a few otthers, cars, RX8 Lemans, GTR lemans, and lots of american hot rods. Biggest difference, lack of ABS.IF YOU SLAM ON THE BRAKES, U WILL SKID!!!!
 
And does the wheel feel as a real wheel? Or does it have that plastic feel?
 
nope, its the ****ty gt-force wheel, but im prolly gonna replace it with the new one next year anyhoo when GT4 comes out.
 
Easy on the swearing, please. Yes, the filter catches it, but...
