...If, by time GT4 comes out, some of the racing cars out there will be updated?

For instance:

2003 Pescarolo Courage C60 Evo-Peugeot

2004 Pescarolo Courage C60 Evo-Judd

2003 Nismo Nissan Skyline GT-R JGTC

2004 Nismo Nissan Fairlady Z JGTC

2003 Takata Dome Honda NSX JGTC

2004 Takata Dome Honda NSX JGTC

2003 Mobile 1 Honda NSX JGTC

2004 Epson Honda NSX JGTC (same car, different sponser)

We already know all the 2003 cars are in the game, but do you think they'll add the 2004s as well? Beyond that, do you think they'll keep both the 2003s and 2004s, or dump the 2003s?

I doubt that they will update the cars. The ones that are already made will stay that way i think. It will only postpone the release if they decide to do that.Maybe they can update the cars thru downloadable updates.

I think, regarding that matter, thats where online+HDD compatibllity comes in. Cause you can just download them as they come up with new graphics or new cars.

In addition to that, it also make it possible for them to patch the game (remember GT2 where you will never get 100% cause they took the drag race out?) if something is wrong or if they decide to add new features to the game (to make the game lasts much longer on the market).

Id imagine PD has a pretty strong working relationship with the Nismo and Takata(well any of the NSX's) and would likely have the updated 2004 cars(especially the Fairlady). Not sure about the C60 but I wouldnt be the least bit suprised if they had the 2004 version as well.

I don't se a problem with updating the cars, I would bet on the Fairlady Z being in either way but the other JGTC's only require a texture change and the C60 is only slightly different.

By time GT4 comes out, the 2004 season of most racing series will be practically over, so I for one would feel a bit cheated if we only got 2003 cars.

Even if we don't get many if any of the 2004 cars we will probably be able to download them. But as I said, it really wouldn't be much hassle to include them in the first place.

Yes, for most of the cars they'd just need to be reskined instead of remodeled.

What? I got it to 100%

By the time GT4 comes out, GT5 and 6 will have gone Platinum.

Cars get new update ideas everyday. It would take forever for PD to release GT4 if they had to update every single car while in progression.

I'm not talking the minor stuff, I'm just talking the major main paintjobs that teams will use throughout the year.

Same.

It was bug with the Americans and maybe some other peoples copies.

Anyway, I presume they would include some 2004 cars because they don't take as long to make and PD would have been thinking ahead and snagged the licenses a while back. GT4:Prologue had lots of 2003 cars and it was released at the end of 2003 so I would expect much the same thing happening to GT4 when it is released later this year or early next year.

this reminds me........does anyone know where I d/l JGTC round 1? I think SPEED didnt air it :banghead:

Still. They would have to take more pictures. every minute wasted means that GT4 fans will have to wait.

Who said taking more pictures would delay things? It's not like they photograph these things one at a time...

Also, Speed doesn't air JGTC live. They only air tapes of the races during the winter when nothing else is on.

Speed aired a couple JGTC racing events in the Spring, and in the Summer of last year. I hope they air more, this year.

I think PD will update the cars. I think they will add new cars, and keep old cars, when the body style has changed. But, I think they'll add a new paint job to the old car, and then get rid of the old paint style car. Or, they could offer the older style paint job car as a racing modified car. We'll see.

Speed doesn't air JGTC Live. They only air it long after the races are already over.

Yes, you said that in post #19.

No it doesn't, especially not when it's a car that only needs to be reskinned. They only need to photograph one JGTC NSX and stick a different texture on for each of the teams. Do you think that PD photograph every car in every colour or paint scheme it will be available in, in the game. And for the others as the 359 said, they do around 50 cars at a time when they go through the photgraphig and sound testing ect.
