Mate, you probably haven't realized it, but if PD adds all those legendary cars, they would be worth 500 million credits.

For that amount they would have to give you content until the end of time, or make you grind forever until you die.

But hey, more cars is always good right?

Nice choices! All European cars though, so I figured I'd add my two cents and make a list of American cars that should be in the LCD.

Firebird III would be especially nice.
This is a concept car that has nothing to do with brilliant success in motorsports, but it is one of the most typical American concept cars of the 50s, and its unique airplane-inspired design should be a great match for the livery editor.

Agreed; plus, it would be great fun to drive the Firebird III in cockpit view from the inside of that glass bubble.

I'm gonna suggest mainly Gr.2 cars as that class is the only one I feel is severely lacking at the moment.

Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR GT1 '97

This one is located at the Mercedes-Benz museum so i'm sure PD can scan it and Dyno the audio for it if they wanted.

Gr.2 needs more cars + PD probably have special clearance with Nissan and can easily scan this car i'm sure.

Nissan R390 GT1 '97

Same as the previous one.

Panoz Esperante GTR-1 '98

This car has been in the series since GT3 so hopefully it makes a return, it sounds pretty sick IRL and Gr.2 is still lacking heavily.

Toyota GT-ONE '98
99-toyota-gt-one-wake-up-lead.jpg

I think this car would actually be classed as a Gr.2 rather than Gr.1 as the CLK-LM seemed to be around the same pace if not actually abit faster than the GT-ONE at Le Mans.

Porsche 911 GT1 '98
Porsche-911-GT1--98-14933.jpg

Like Nissan PD have a good enough relationship with Porsche where i'm sure they could get their hands on a GT1 if they wanted to.

While I really like that list I have to disagree with that, the GT-One was clearly the fastest car at Le Mans in 1998. The reason the the CLK was on pole was that they (rather foolishly I might add) went for a full send for pole in the 4th and final qualifying session that every other team used to setup for the race. In the race the Toyotas were clearly superior which is shown by laptimes as well as the first 20 minutes of the race where they went from starting 2nd, 7th and 8th to 1st, 2nd and 4th rather effortlessly.

And if they only get the '99 GT-One, that is whole different level anyway.

I get all the above are automotive legends ... but... what about those who made it to a legendary status outside the racing / car world ?
Though we got the DeLorean and also some of the Bond cars I would love to have exact copies ( not just close to liveries )of :

  • Burt Reynolds Firebird Trans Am
  • K.I.T.T
  • General Lee
  • Herbie
  • Christine
  • the A-Teams Van
  • the blue/Yellow Manta from MantaManta
  • Mr.Beans Mini ( including the Sofa-Chair on Top )
  • Beverly Hill Billies - Truck
  • Blues Brother Cop Car

plus a city track to race them through Hollywood ;) make the payout low if you want I´d drive it for the lols.

All Jags in this vid...this series has the best audio, I challenge someone to find better.

A Gordon Murray 65 degrees V12...call it a legend already.
