Ok, we all know the whole bday glitch, duping car, etc., and all that polyphony had to do to stop people exploiting this.

But I was at a shock that you can't send race or special cars even if they are under the 1m range. I play with my older brother online and he doesn't have much time for the game. I've been slowly gifting him cars so he can play competitively against me added that online shared cars cannot be used online.

So I just came with the idea. How about if they keep the current gifting system and perhaps allow you to sell the other class cars to your friends?

Let's say a limit of 5 cars to sell per day. Would definitely help a bit with grinding, help out with this trading system and find a use to the stupid cars that you keep getting from level tickets that "cannot be sold or gifted"

Cool I idea, and you should both have to trade the the car at the same time so no scamming, like a screen pops up and you both click your car and press accept, and you switch cars at the same moment

They should just remove the stupid restriction and let us gift cars as I want. PD stupid restrictions made it difficult when I was running a casual league and gifting cars to people who couldn't afford them.

Car trading 1:1 idea is good though.

The car limit of one each day is probably there for technical reasons (to avoid server overload or whatever), the rest of the limitations are probably implemented due to the gift function quickly becoming a trade function which they might not have expected to take off in the way it did, and after it became possible to dupe cars they created this rather arbitrary 1 million limit to perhaps avoid everyone trading the 20 million cars (and X2010's).

An online trading section where you can buy and sell cars for ingame Credits would be the perfect solution I think, GT5's eBay or something similar perhaps.
Maybe even deciding the value yourself, especially since some very expensive cars have no resale value attached, and it would add some market competition element.
Or simply remove the trading restrictions (or change 1 million to, say, 5 million) and add resale value to extremely expensive cars.

But make it so people won't sell for like 1cr. To avoid exploit

The one true solution. Remove the problem.

There is no reason for the limit. It's not servers, and exploiting doesn't make a dent to the value of the game. 1.07 should be burned with fire and we would all be better off. There are petitions against the restrictions in the feedback section. Vote for them, get them on the first page, and maybe we'll be able to go back to sensible gifting.

Yea that would be awesome. A ingame marketplace where you can offer all your cars for your price & the other players can buy your cars if they want.

A car resale shop for everyone. :D:tup:

As it's possible to set a car online to loan it to someone, why not make it able to set a car "for sale" so people on your friends list can make you an offer for it?

Should be anyone not just friends

I think the best way to do this would be like FIFA ultimate team , that works for that. Simple eBay type setup with buy it now and start bid prices.

I don't like how gt5 doesn't have a lot of good modern race cars to begin with but that's another issue, as far as this topic goes I think it's a good idea, but then do we really need a trade limit still if credits are being spent anyways?

The only problem I can see with this is that tickets have no "price"

Yeah the auction system i think it as been already discussed in other thread.

The perfect system: a stock market with the gt5 cars and ingame credits as currency. Supply and demand would made the price.

But something like this will be against the philosophy of PD about socializing, as the buyer doesn't know who the seller is and vice-versa.

Different systems wouldn't be so... (the word is missing), so i don't know how to solve it.

Also the 20k Cr Limit as to disappear...

Yes there was a thread for this, i suggested the idea of an ebay-style trade system. But you could see the problem with that. Selling your cars would be the same thing. The value would have to be determined by the game of course.
