The Gran Turismo community is very passionate about car culture, and it's for that reason why I think Polyphony should turn the current 2D world map (the map you see in the main menu) into a driveable hub. The current map is already the perfect layout for cruising, and I think making it driveable would deeply enhance the car meet culture in this game. Imagine being able to manually drive from your garage to the Café, and see other players parked up looking at their menu books. Instead of joining a generic lobby to meet up with friends, you could see other players idling at Brand Central, or maybe even pulling up to GT Auto. The World Map is a natural multi-player space and could seamlessly host a dozen players at the same time. Additionally, Polyphony should make the 2D version of the map still accessible by the click of a button, meaning players who just want to grind races don't have to do the meticulous driving to get there.

What are the traffic rules? Will there be stop sign? Traffic lights? Can you speed? Will there be other traffic? Will it be policed? What happens if you break those rules?

Sounds too complicated to me - and not a feature I really want in GT7. We have the “lobbies” for car meets.

What this game needs is more hill climbs, time trails, point-to-points, road rallies, drifting, drag racing…

I want to be able to drive around elsewhere that isn't a conventional circle, and this game has the perfect car culture for it. As far as rules and police, I reckon there shouldn't be any, as being able to freely drive at your own pace would be much better than being restricted to rules. And before you jump to conclusions, yes I get it, I could go play Forza if I wanted to, but this game gives you so much freedom with what you can do with your cars that I think it would be a wasted opportunity otherwise.

Hey ! I have been think of this couple of years ago. It possible to PD do this, but like jonoholland29 says, no traffic rules is not possible in GT.
Look the damage compared with Forza !
If PD make this, a small map like Test Drive Unlimited would be awesome, with dealers, tracks and tuning shops ... .
