You know, it's only a few years until 2015, and yet...

I don't see a Flying DeLorean being possible. Unless some alien race appears and offers us their Repulsorlift Technology.

I could see that as being convenient: while everyone clogs the skyways, it means more road for me.
 
We just need to wait until the Mayor of Hill Valley has a son who can invent the Hovercar Conversion, duh!

Yeah, but what will you do with so many road once petrol gets outlawed... taken over by Mr Fusion, only available on fly cars.
 
Uh...Moonshine? :3 Besides, the DeLorean retained it's gasoline engine as well: remember Pt. III? That's why they had to use the train: Marty ripped the gas line. (and subsequently got chased out of the cave by a bear.)

I kind of meant it as tongue-in-cheek: having cars become aircraft is asking for trouble. adding that third dimension adds a whole lot more to be aware of.

They did partner with VW to help them design something (probably interior stuff), but I'd point you toward the Chevrolet Volt for Apple-like design inside:
