Identical lap times in a single race?

As I am sick of reading all the negative material on the forums lately and luckily I came across something unique(well it is to me so far).

Has anyone ever had a race where they did two laps of exactly the same time.

I was racing in the Ferrari formula seasonal and on nurburgring I did my 5 and 9 lap with a time of 1.29.868,so they were exactly the same.
Has this happened to anyone before,my times weren't done on purpose and I don't have a replay,sorry.
 
Same. More often than not, I find myself in my Supra on Tsukuba, getting nearly identical times every lap, and completely identical times about every five laps.
 
I once got 3 identical laps during an Indy Grind, thus netting me the Human Stopwatch trophy:D
 
I had 2 identical laps back to back. When it happened it didn't record the lap & time on the right. I had identical laps on 5&6. The record never showed my 6th lap :( Just went straight from 5 to 7 :(
 
I've come very close, in the .00X range but never identical. The exception would be the Karting Challenges.
 
Haha yes! I also did it in the seasonal event with the F2010, but on the custom track(love that track), i was amazed by it, i was like "WHAT!!" it's a thing of beauty, but that was the only time.

That reminds me of when I was playing GT4 a few years ago. I had an Impreza on Tsukuba, ran one lap and the next was one millisecond slower! I was so amazed that I took a picture on my phone.

Then my phone broke and I forgot about it, until now :)

I got 1.666 quite a few times on the SS7 glitch.
 
I just had a online race in a GT3 series and had two laps at Madrid 1:23.538 and then 1:23:535. Very close but not identical.

I know a picture may not be possible, and I don't mean to insult you, but I call BS. I cannot fathem that you knocked out six IDENTICAL times back to back to back to back to back to back.

It may be unlikely, but it's far from unpossible.
 
I got two identical times in a row with Zonda R on Tokyo R246.
 
you just have to be focused and very consistent, even messing up the same corner in the same way every lap can lead to the same lap times. it does happen! :D I always always try to get faster and faster on endurance races :D I remember a while back on tokyo on one of the previous GTs (maybe 1?) had the Tommy Kaira ZZR and it was immense and I just sat there on the endurance so far ahead and I thought lets see just how fast I can go. I cant remember though :( so that story was pointless except for the fact that you can get bloody fast if you keep trying to beat yourself over 60 laps :D
 
I once got somewhere near 200 consecutive laps with the same time on Nurburgring 24h:dopey:

Seriously, though, I have actually done this in most of the seasonals and some of the longer A-Spec races. I've also done it while hot lapping which is actually annoying when trying to beat my previous best.

And no, it's not the X2010. Using fully tuned Zonda R to (accidently) achieve that. :D
 
It's cool when you do it 2 laps running, you don't notice at first and think the game is elsewhere "umm, hello I just did a lap" but the next 2/3 times you realise it's because of the times being identical.
Easiest place is go-karting and (formerly) Nurburgring 24h glitch
 
TECHNICALLY, it is completely impossible to finish 2 laps with exactly the same time. Time is a continuous measurement, meaning you can keep on increasing your accuracy indefinitely. This would mean that the two times that looked the same up to the three decimal places that Gran Turismo counts to will turn out to be very different indeed - but that's just me thinking like the arrogant OCD-ish douche that I am :)

P.s. I have done it a few times while grinding on the Indy race =P

This is good, if one sees time as a single object moving in an indefinite straight line for ever.

However, if one sees time as a counter that starts at zero every time you go over the finish line on a track, it is indeed possible to get 100% identical lap times. But to the third decimal point that GT5 measures, it is nowhere near accurate enough to be considered 100% identical. Maybe, 60-70% identical, but not 100%.

Really. I did two laps exactly the same on that track with my F1 (not sure if it was the F10 or the F2007) in a row :D I made a thread that featured that but I don't have a replay or any proof.
 
Its happened a few times for me since GT2.
