And you thought the cubs fan would never live it down. This guy had to come along and do something even dumber.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/ptech/10/31/offbeat.mobile.toilet.reut/index.html

He dropped his cell phone in the toilet of a commuter train, gets his arm stuck trying to retrieve it. They stop the train, delay 1000's of people on their commute home and use the jaws of life on the toilet to get his arm out.

Picture this "crowded train station"

"So, why is the train running late?"

"Some idiot dropped his cell phone in a toilet and got his arm stuck trying to get it"

Person scans train station looking at hundreds of other people stuck waiting with him.

"You have got to be kidding me?'

I have devised a method for dealing with people who annoy intentionally or unintentionally. I refer to it as "face-brick". They are annoying; I hit them in the face with a brick.

A friend of mine has devised a method for dealing with people who are ignorant. He calls it "the brainin` rock". They are stupid; he hits them in the back of the head with a rock.

This person is getting a double dose.

Didn't this moron realize his phone would be floating in fecal matter? Who would want to place something against their face that had once been floating in that?

Not I!

Idiot indeed.

Why did he have to make the call in the bathroom? Why couldn't he just make it sitting on the train? I hope he has to pay for the toilet.

A good friend of mine once devised a theory called the plastic bag test.

His theory stated that at a certain age, every child is brought into a room with a large man in it. This man would hand the kid a plastic bag and tell him very sternly "Put this on your head and tie it shut"

Kid with either do it and fail, or he'll say "no, I'll suffocate and die." at which point they'd pass the test and be returned to their parents.

This guy most likely would have failed the test.

Have you ever riden a public transit train? They're loud as ... well as loud as me (: And additionally he may have wanted to talk about "sensitive" topics which he didn't want people to listen in on.

I thought crap just fell onto the tracks when you flush the toilet on a train..........

That is HORRIBLY unsanitary. It is contained and drained at a station.

I think when trains were first made that is what they did but i could be wrong.

Yeah I remember this when I was a kid and you could see the rails looking down the toilet. Atleast the rear was airconditioned when sitting on the toilet.:)

Promise you'll put this in effect, and I'm voting Der Alta for President, 2004.

In addition to that ...

My brother-in-law suggested having a general humanity test including physical ability (situps / chinups / run a mile ...) along with an IQ test at the age of 12 or so. If they can't pass they get fixed. No babies.

My dad said to just offer a nominal money gift for guys who are willing to get a vasectomy. I can see a BUNCH of young teens taking $500 to get snipped. And that's a lot cheaper than government sponsored child support and all the problems that come along with those children later in life.

If you asked them before they get into 9th grade i bet most all guys would. Then after that it would be something like what was i thinking

Amateur eugenics at it's finest... "You, sir, are worse than Hitler."

In the UK some kid held up the entire of London Victoria's train services for 45 minutes (and the knock-on delays from a station used to having one departure every 2 minutes were frightening), because, having realised he'd left his mobile phone on a bench on the platform, he pulled the train's "Emergency Stop" cord.

Is there something about mobile phones which leads their owners to behave in the most idiotic manner imaginable?
