Word of advice since this just happened to me, and it nearly gave me a heart-attack.
If GT5 freezes and your game-save won't load anymore, but it's not corrupt (it seems normal in the saved game utility) and your other account is still fine, then...
- copy your game save to another backup user
- delete the game save for the user it did not work anymore
- copy the game save back from the backup user
Magically, this worked for me.
I know I'm not the first one this happened to, but I couldn't find any suggestion for a solution anywhere. Hope this helps someone.
