I was waiting for the game save to finish and had my finger by the power/reset button... ready to turn it off because I was in a hurry to head out.

Well, my finger slipped, game is corrupted. Lost about 36% progress along with more than 40 license golds and 1/2 driving missions completed. Oh well. I think this time I wont transfer my GT3 game data and will just start fresh.

You really shouldn't have put your finger anywhere near the button.

An Xport or MAXDrive would do similair things.

Hahaha, you beat me to it! But yeah, that sucks :) At least you were only at 40%. If you've got some free time it shouldn't take too long to get back there :)
 
Well, at least this game doesn't take as long as Gran Turismo 2 does to save. I would hate that. I remember getting a corrupt gamesave on my old PS with that game, and figured (although I guess nobody proved it till now) that GT4 would get a corrupted gamesave too (as most other games do too). Oh GT2, I still remember that night the power went out on SUCH an inconvenient time :(

Yeah, saving your GT2 game while someone is fiddling with the circuit breakers, unknown to you, car really ruin your day.
 
I've done that to but just on a different game. It sucks i know but just live with it.

I was just 18 hours into the 24 hr. race and my sister came into my room and turned of my PS2 cause she said she was tring to sleep. I am so mad. i was winning by like 15 laps in my Minolta(sorry for bad spelling). This is all true, cause why not enter the 24 hour race when you have a Minolta. SO PEOPLE GUARED YOUR PS2 POWER BUTTEN AT ALL COSTS!!!

I think its funny when people complain about corrupt gamesaves etc. when they are at fault.I just want to smack them upside the head.
 
it happened to me with TXR3 but all well, if it happens to me on GT4 no problem since i'm considering starting it over
 
I always have a back up.... learned my lesson with GT3... 96% done and all gone in the push of a power button.

LOL! sorry gues i spelled it wrong i'll fix it, i meant the Toyota Minolta.
