I don't pay for the stuff, so I'm slime, and I'm proud of it. I'm broke, so anything helps. And I'm not DLing stuff that would normally be money to sell to other people.
BTW, I use KaZaA Lite, and thanks for the warning. One of my freinds was saying that I was going to get a virus with it, and then I asked if he knew what it was and he gave me this speil on how ever P2P has spywhere...wrong. I'm so happy with KaZaA Lite, I was going to DL the regular KaZaA before but then I heard from several places that it had viruses, and then on "Call for Help"(TechTV show), the guy was saying some of the P2P programs, and he too said that KaZaA had viruses, but then he said the Lite version doesn't, so that's what I got.
I tryed that program that Mista said was good....it was hard as hell to use, having to go into different rooms, and then you have to upload a limit(usually like 2 GB...my PC is 1.8GB...), and then you get blocked by people and all that crap...maybe it works for him cause he has all that free space and stuff, but I don't think it's a viable option for the normal person.

Believe me, I hate Micro$oft more than the next guy. But I vote with my wallet and buy Macintoshes, instead of trying to rip off Windows stuff.
No matter how you try to justify it, copying non-original material is theft. There is no way to sugar coat it. And no, I'm not a developer or programmer; I'm just a citizen.

Would you spend 550 pounds (or the equivalent) for Microsoft Office just because it has a different name?
What about 89 pounds for Windows XP? + after paying all that money it won't work untill you register it, and if you want 2 copys you have to either buy the licence or buy a 2nd copy (both the same price)?
That's theft.

No, that's not theft. That's usury, and that's the reward they get for convincing the entire world to use their crappy OS. They spent a lot of money and effort doing that, and they have every right to charge what they can get for the "privelege" of using their products.
Nobody's making you buy those products if you don't like the price. Keep using the older version of Office, or pony up the money to upgrade. Ditto with XP.
If you want to use them, you should pay for them. If you're not willing to pay for them, you shouldn't use them. PERIOD.
You've got two alternatives: support alternative products by buying them, or, try to hurt the dominant company by stealing their products. The first is moral and right; the second is immoral and wrong.

Why does OSX suck? It's unix based, 10.2 is stable and fairly fast, and flexible. It's only going to get better. It's at least coherently written, unlike WindowsXX.
Nothing could be easier than upgrading my G4 tower. Lift the latch, let the side down, and all the guts are open to the world. In 10 seconds I have access to every component of my machine.
File compatibility? What are you looking for? All M$ Office file formats are identical between both platforms. Ditto with 90% of all the common image file types. Macs will read, write, and format PC-standard floppies and Zip disks (let's see you put a Mac disk in your PC), and ISO-standard CDs and DVDs.
Next? So far you're batting zero. Typical Win bigot.

What about .txt files?! I'm serious - Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files are identical between platforms. I don't mean they translate. I don't mean they are compatible. I mean they are IDENTICAL. If they are saved on a PC-formatted disk, Office cannot tell which platform generated the files.
I could go on for pages but you are obviously not interested in any meaningful discussion. Like I said, a typical WinBigot. Windoze doesn't EVEN suck. It takes it up the back door like an extra on Oz.
