GTPlanet, imagine you had the money to market your own version of a certain car. This is a "just for fun" thread in which you'd think about what would be your idea of a car you'd personally endorse. How would this version be different from its base model? For example, if you endorsed a BMW Z4, how would your version be different in terms of looks, performance, power, handling, or what? Would you give it a special name like (granted your name is John Doe or Joan Doe) "the John Doe Z4," the "Joan Doe Special?" Or what? I may offer my endorsement deal a bit later in the thread, but what would you endorse and how would it be different from the base model? Would it come in a special color?

Offer your ideas. And just imagine if you had naming rights to name your own variant of a certain car, whether it is a new car, an old car, a discontinued car, or anything like that. Just because I say "car" doesn't mean it's ONLY for cars. Trucks and SUVs and such are about as welcome as anything with wheels and a motor and is commercially available (John, expect a joke by one poster). So what auto would you endorse, and how would your version be different from the base model?

Use your imagination and let's see how this deal works.

Oh, oh. I know. I've put alot of thought into this one...

The Sedan DeVille d'Evoluzione package. Complete with a composite hood, trunk lid, and bumps, I/H/E, an aggressive cam, 19.4lb/hr fuel injectors, ported & port matched heads and intake manifolds, and Momo interior effects.

I'm workin' on it.

Are you from BMW and are out of ideas? :p

If so, i'll have a Z4 in green yellow and pink, with the suspension as high as an x5's. You'll sell positively tons :sly:

An SRT-4 with a supercharged V6 and rear wheel drive. If you could cram the engine and supercharger into the hood that is...

I would be to Lamborghinis what Koenig is to Ferraris. :D

Honestly, it seems to me that many cars do not achieve their full potential due to minor oversights and stupid descisions. I'd like to fix those. Everything from the Mercedes/McLaren SLR's useless brake by wire system and the C6's stupid gear skipping transmission to the phantom biting point of Renault Clio's clutch and that recorded scream that plays when you exceed 15mph with your seatbelt undone in the Kia Sorento*. These sort of annoying useless things that are not done for the car owner (or, only the totally braindead one), but to make you buy the car in the first place, or because the design comittee were all morons, or to make the company appear to be doing something it's not (the C6's transmission forces you to skip gears to make it appear more fuel efficient to the government). This sort of thinking is an awful plauge on the industry and it makes cars worse for everyone.

*I made this one up.

The Typhoon Mark II

A Blazer/ Jimmy base, with a turboed 4.3L, AWD off the Bravada, 18inch chrome wheels, high grip tires, Xtreme ground effects, Eibach springs, 5 link rear suspension, ZQ8 front spindels, ZQ8 sway bars, Bear brakes, induction fiberglass hood, GM factory roll pan, euro tail lights, clear corners, leather interior, Pioneer sound system, and finally 30% tint on the windows.

Syclone Mark II would also be avaiable but with the S-10/ S-15.

LOL!!! the Viagra edition...

I'm being creative here...

The 1960 Biscayne LMP

Yeah, I said LMP...

Hmm... Let's start with a LeMans tuned LS7, then add a nice set of zoomies, 6 speed manual tranmission(B&M shifter -duh) Oversized knock-off Torq Thrusts, massive Wilwood disc brakes, Carbon fiber body panels, a massive front air dam to direct air through the car, tweaked fish fins to add crazy downforce, superlight aluminum frame, and a free set of fuzzy dice.

Biscayne LMP : Because size matters.

Caterham R"I lost my Balls"00

Caterham R600 with a 320bhp 6 pot, AWD, 6 speed, carbon-fibre bonnet, 19" rims, rear spoiler generating 600kg downforce and road-legal (virtually) slicks.

The Ford F-250 Street Crusier Edition.

Take the F-250 and put an Dooley Diesl motor in it. Then send it over to Banks Performance and have him tune the crap out of it. After that is done, paint it black and give it ghost flames all along the hood, sides, and across the bed cover that it will come with. Inside the bed will be a Bedrug, insted of a crappy spray in liner. The interior will black with white piping around the seat. The stereo/dvd player will be a 250 watt bose system, upgradable to 700 watts. The wheels will be a stock 22 inch with those tires that release red smoke when burn out occure. All exterior accents, including the grill will be chrome.

The tag line will be "It's time for scare some old ladies again."

I think that this truck will be a bigh hit with young and old alike.

Take a 98 Neon, insert a srt-10 engine, srt-10 tranny, and new suspension.

neon SRT-10
[FCT Edition]

Honda S2000-R

Whatever make/model it is (but not BMW or Mercedes), it'd be called the "Better Than Your Car" Edition.

Anyway - I'd bring back the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R & Give it the works with a nice Racing setup, not sure about specifics though. Need time to think :sly:

Seriously now...since there's many things I'd prefer to a Bangle BMW shaped like a giant penis....

"Lincoln LS Midnight Rider"

Midnight blue (Chrysler's midnight blue looks best because it can also look like a lighter blue when the light hits it right). Black and blue sport seats, with a similarly colored interior. Occasional blue LED accents. Ford Racing Cammer V8. 5-speed manumatic transmission. All-wheel drive. Dual tailpipes (tuned by the folks that made the new Mustang V6 sound good). Lowered over 18" black wheels. Body-colored mesh grille. All chrome becomes body-colored. Angel eye headlights. Cleared-out, Lexus-style taillights. "Lincoln" and "LS" text badges removed. Black background for Lincoln logo badges replaced with light blue. Stiffer suspension.

Most of the exterior stuff could be bought at lskoncepts.com, but they no longer sell the mesh grilles and the different-color badges.

Nismo Pulsar Z-Tune GTI-R

- Boost Controller
- Launch Control
- Studder Box
- Short Throw 5-Speed Manual Transmission w/ close gear ratios
- Ultra-Performance Supercar Tires
- Racing Rotor-Disc Brakes & EBC Racing Brake Pads
- Twin-Plate Racing Clutch & Carbon Fiber Racing Driveshaft
- Z-Tune Calibrated Full Racing Suspension
- Carbon Fiber Interior Panels
- Carbon Fiber Hood, Trunk Lid, and Ground Effects
- Two 5 Point Lightweight Racing Seats
- Smaller Diameter Steering Wheel
- No Radio/Heater/Air Conditioning
- Carbon Fiber Projector Headlights
- MSRP: $25,000

Nismo will buy 25 of these GTI-R's from the public and continue to calibrate up to Z-Tune standards. Everything in the above list would happen and then some.

It would be the first $25,000 car to enter the 8-minute brackett at Nurburgring. Though a lot would be sacrificed in terms of luxury, just as much is gained in terms of sheer performance. The Nismo GTI-R will be very limited in terms of production, and will be auctioned off at a starting price of $25,000.

The 575M Challenge Stradale Fiorano. :sly:

What the 575M should have been, with a 575hp V12, virtually no exhaust, a bodykit halfway between the street car and the GT car, replacing all kinds of parts with aluminum and titanium to make it the weight it should be! With a 50 percent stiffer chassis, zillion percent stiffer :) suspension, and available in 6-speed or F1 transmissions. Spartan interior to match, laden with carbon fibre and a nice mixture of 80 percent nitrogen, 18 percent oxygen, and a bunch of other stuff. ;)

And it costs so much that no one but the designer, moi, could have one (I get one free, I am the designer after all! 💡 ) making it the most exclusive semi-production car available! :dopey:

BMW M7 CSL...7 series, slightly shortened, two doors, only very light materials, minus all the luxuries with bucket seats and stuff, racing suspension, engine from the new M5 maybe a little tweaked for about 600 to 700hp, alpine white, SMG, yellow foglights, 21" rims, more aggressive front and rear bumpers with aerodynamic effect for better handling, maybe even a spoiler but nothing too large...absolutely ridiculous thing but should be good for 350kph and handle well even around twistier tracks.

Mitsubishi Lan"Evo" 3.14 R Type.

1 engine option-92 Hp.
