If you had to make a newer S7 that would compete against the new P1, F70, and other hypercars.

I would give it a Twin turbo V8 to total 700 hp and then give it a hybrid engine(is it a engine or a ECU I'm still new to hybrid tech) and to max it out to 900hp. 7000rpm, 800 Ibs torque 0-60 2.7 secs. 0-100 5.5 secs Top speed 225 so it can shift quicker. Also I would give it 6 speed manual. I would love the headlights to be LED lights. My paints would be Black, white, red.

I would weigh it at 1200kg. I would utilize ford's classic F1 skills to put F1 technology in it so it can handle like a beast. I'm still learning about suspenion and other important aspects.

How would you make a New S7?

Saleen already did that. It made 750.

They also had a 1000hp version. From the factory.

Did that, had that, ran that, that too, and went faster. Son.

It had a 6-speed but sadly no LEDs. And it was so close to being a serious supercar!

It weighed about 2800 pounds if I remember right. It also had pretty fantastic aerodynamics - high drag, but immense downforce does that. It didn't have any active aero. It was also a great handler. Not the best, but it didn't have the widest or best brand of tire either. It didn't have special soft compound versions of typical consumer tires like the other supercars have.

How would you make a New S7?
I'd take the 1000 hp version and put wider modern tires on it. Maybe a nicer interior. And that's it, because that car was one badass machine.

Saw one up in San Jose California about 10 years ago, huge car, massive street presence! He would race not though, I guess he didn't take my extended wheelbase cargo van as a threat. (Go figure)

If I were making one today, pretty much everything that's already been stated. Except a tidier package overall..

I've seen one in NY about 2 years ago. Thing was awesome. If I'd build any car, I'd like the power down low in the RPM's that way it's better for street use.

I've sat in one and pressed some buttons a few years ago. The interior was a bit awkward and plain but the materials were pretty nice. The leather was quality.

Overall fit and finish is obviously lacking compared to bigger companies but it wasn't bad. It definitely wasn't a kit car. The engine packing was nicely done as well. It was also a very aggressive looking thing as we all know. Long, wide and low. Exceedingly rare too.

EDIT: I would give it ABS. The early models didnt have ABS and it hurt their braking performance quite a bit. Besides that the car was much nicer and performed much better than an SRT10 which was great of course.

Oh hey, they already did it.

Anyone remember the Saleen Mustang. Them boys were fun on Forza. Wish they make a new one in real life. And I hope they bring the saleen mustang on GT6

McLaren
They do still make Mustangs. Just not exclusively anymore. Please, do some homework....

Never knew. I look on carbuzz everyday for 2 years strait. I thought they would show new cars even non exclusive on their app. Oh well. Wikipedia is my best friend I find everything on there.

My S7 remake would have a 3.5L Twin Turbo, Supercharged V5 (chop an L shape out of a V8.) and make 1300bhp. It would be completely made out of carbon fiber so it should weigh just slightly less than a ton. It would also have active aero so the drag coefficient would be closer to .18 for economy but with 2500lbs of downforce for track use. No spoilers though, that would be childish...

I would build the exact same car, but better. Steve Saleen really got into trouble with how he handled the painting and subassembly of the Ford GT, the S7, and their mustangs because he cut corners, used poor quality parts, and basically turned anything he touched into an unreliable hunk of wall art. Too bad too. All his designs were great, he just let the finances run amok and cut corners to keep afloat. As legend has it, Ford GTs were supposed to be sent on from Saleen's Troy assembly plant to Ford's Wixom plant for final assembly and finishing, but it was common for Saleen to miss shipments of GTs to Wixom. Ford, curious about why Saleen was falling embarrasingly short on their production times, sent inspectors to the Troy assembly plant and found a backlog of GTs being torn back down because parts had been lost and misplaced during production at the Troy plant. Saleen employees were desperately trying to substitute with generic parts they could get their hands on. So why these things happened can only be speculated, but the designs were first rate, all I would change is the quality control and assembly.

Whats with this fantasy thread. If we're gonna play make believe, why can't my S7 weigh absolutely nothing, have infinite power, be able to transform into a luxury 120ft yacht, a private jet and a mobile 5 star hotel?

Anything can happen.

Have fun blowing apex seals.

Only thing I like about rotatory engines is the all that noise they make @ high RPM.
