Je ne connais pas vous, ou votre famille, par conséquent pourquoi je n'en ai pas fait des attaques directes sur elles ou leur personnalité, ou vôtre.

Cependant, je sais votre pays fonctionne, il prend 80% de nos rapports de nouvelles chaque jour avec la façon embarrassante qu'il montre lui-même.

Les USA sont un embarras au monde occidental.

Yeah, you're pretty much on the money. A complete and accurate translation is actually quite difficult, even if a fluent/native speaker (my family is bilingual). Cassez-vous could be associated with a few meanings. It obviously seems like it's in response to a rather indecent comment; Sounds like he/she is saying "screw you". However, there are several ways it could be interpreted.

Just abit of grammar fix in the translation babelfish gave us. It's not that difficult to make out what the poster was trying to say.

I've got a bit of an ear for languages, and I tend to pick up a conversational smattering quite easily. Apparently my (absent) paternal grandfather was a lecturer in modern languages, and a Francophone, at Aberystwyth...

Actually, you don't even know the half of it. Not even a quarter of it.

You don't know anything about the situation at hand, so don't try to make assumptions. A moderator has been contacted about the member, and this topic no longer serves a purpose.
 
Well don't blame us for getting curious about a topic you posted.

I mean, why would anyone question the translated contents of a message that is clearly a retaliation from a member, who thinks you have said some inflammatory comments?

The moment your situation became under public scrutiny is when you posted it.

Then that is exactly what you should have done. As has been pointed out, we have mods capable of translating from French (Flat-out is French!)

Posting this in a public forum is bound to get the reaction that it got.

I wasn't even thinking that we had any mods that spoke French. I've only seen a few of Flat-out's posts, and I never thought of Famine being able to translate.:ouch:
