What I thought started out as a suspension problem seems to be turning into a transmission/'suspension problem. So instead of posting quesions about drag racing in the automotive section, I think it would be better to just make a thread about the game. So, heres the problem: The car I am trying to make go down the track has about 8k hp and 10k ft/lbs of torque. It seems to spin first gear to about halfway down the track then it picks up the front of the car and either flips over or goes into this violent spin/tornado thing. Anyone know what could help eliminate this spinning? There seems to be limited information about this game on the internet and I am beginning to figure out why.

Not sure what adjustments you can make in the game but it sounds like you need to detune the engine and perhaps add some downforce. Perhaps a longer burnout would help as well. If the engine is making too much power it's going to spin the wheels either way.

I haven't played the game so I can only go by what I learned playing other drag racing games such and NHRA Drag Racing on the PC.

You can adjust pretty much anything that you want. I dont think downforce is the problem. I'm pretty sure its something to do with the torque converter or something of that nature but I dont know how to adjust that.

What are the settings for the torque converter? If you're spinning your tires you'll want it the converter to slip more. Perhaps I'll have to pick up this game tomorrow. I've been looking at it for quite a while now but haven't bought it.

Its tirespin off the line and then about halfway down the track the thing pulls to one side and wont correct and it does a wheelie then hits the wall and goes into an uncontrollable spin. I'm about ready to throw this game into the river thats how mad I am at it right now. I've been messing with the settings for about 3 days now and I seem to be getting nowhere.

Heres the settings
Stall: 5000
Multiple: 2.22
Slip: 7

I tried making the gears longer to stop wheelspin. I stiffen the suspension at one point the car flipped over when I did the burnout. I messed with the wheelie bar made it longer, made it shorter, one wheel, or two nothing seems to help. I'm ready to scream. :grumpy:

Edit: the exact specs of the engine, in case anyone was wondering are:

8609HP@6464RPM (Without N2O)
9105HP@6464RPM (With N2O)

12,524 ft/lbs of torque@2016RPM (Without N20)
13,816 ft/lbs of torque@2016RPM (With N20)

This is all being made with a custom 12Cylinder engine displacing 2034.394CID
maybe I should de-tune it a little?

another edit: Upon further tuning of the engine:

8753HP@4354rpm (without the juice)
9249 at the same rpm with the juice

torque on the other hand is very abundant making
18,036ft/lbs at 2016RPM
but with the juice it shoots to 19,328 at 2016RPM
now if I could just get it down the track...

hmmm maybe more downforce in the front and rear?
Maybe you should Detune as well to lets say 7000hp and run it. See what happens. If it all goes good keep adding HP slowly and keep correctinng any wheelspin / wheelie problems you encounter.

One question tho. Is this game fun? Ive been looking to buy it for a while now. Just dont know if it would be wasting my money...

Let me know...

It would be fun if I could get the car to go down the track. I have been trying for a week now. Another thing, all of the buttons on the controller are used in one way or another while racing. The game is so damn complicated. But on the other hand Its pretty cool that you can build pretty much any 1-12 cylinder engine that you want.

I would like to bump this thread. I have started messing with this game again, and I have made it down the track, with a severely detuned engine. I am making about 950hp and I can barely brake into the 11's. I need some tips on this. I still think its the torque converter problem. It spins the wheels off the line, and bogs 2nd gear. And the steering is very touchy. I am seriously addicted to this game though, seeing as how every aspect of car tuning can be changed from engine displacement, cam specs, valve sizes, etc. Someone has to know how to tune a car for this.?

Edit: just broke into the 6's with a 7000hp rail car.
