And despite the game's obvious shortcomings (ie control and buggy collision detection) the online racing is VERY VERY FUN!

Humans are great. Polyphony....take note. I realize that there is firewire capability in GT3 but it's for the arcade only.

If GT4 will allow custom made cars to race online....that would be an ABSOLUTE BLAST! We all know the GT AI is not the smartest so how about human AI? The human competition in Auto Modelista really puts you on the edge of your seat!

Oh....sorry....yes, about Auto Modellista. Well, compared to GT3, it's not very good. But like I mentioned above, the online competition is quite amusing! It keeps you coming back for more! Despite its not so great gameplay!

The point is...if a mediocre racing game like Auto Modellista can be FUN because of the ONLINE COMPETITION, imagine how fun GT4 will be!

umm...I happen to own Auto Modellista for the Japanese PS2 and trust me,even if you're not able to play online with it (cause you don't have that cord for it or whatever) it can still be a great game =D!think about it...you get to put all these awsome looking sponsorship stickers on your car,you get to make your own as well ^_^!you can color basically ANY part of the car a different color (ever seen a CRX with a blue body and a black hood?hehe) it's a really great game to me,but maybe that's cause it's challenging and it's new ya know?but I don't know,maybe I'm the only one that actually likes it,rather than JUST to be played for online =P

I can't play it in any other mode except online. The copy we have, the collision detection is a bit raw. Example : If you're taking a hair pin turn and you graze the inside corner, the car automatically spins around, even though it was not a direct hit. I also went through a couple of cars! :lol: It was fun so that's all the mattered.
 
Unless they have some method of keeping out the legion of twits who drive backwards or deliberately cause wrecks (and there are a lot more than you think), then it's gonna suck like most other online racing games.

Because GT4 is expected to get online capabilities. This is good chance for some of you to see the comparison. Online gaming for GT4 will make the game unbelievably addicting and incredibly fun! That is the point.

Stop changing it.
