Okay, so, I have a PT Cruiser, and I just can't complete the races fast enough to get the money I want in the time I want it. I don't really want to sit there for a few hours and go race after race after race, getting a minut amount of money for the races I can finish in the top 3. Any other ways other than playing hour after hour of the same 9 races?
 
Welcome to GTPlanet, my advice is DO not use the PT Crusier! If it is FF races, then use a Honda Civic, GT World Championship in Beginner use a fully moded Tureno or Lancer.
 
I would say just buy a Mazda Miata and soup it up. It can enter plenty of races. I would go with that. Also, sorry you have to race little pety races before you start winning the real $$$$$$$$$!
 
I agree totally with viper. The miatta rocks. For 4600 you can get the stage 1 turbo and boost that baby upto about 238! Thats awesome for a first car. After that though, i started racing the 5,000 race of turbo sports super speedway and then purchased the 32000 mustang gt. I wouldnt really recommend that though, it doesnt handle very well.

Good question, and good answers so far... i just wanted to back everyone on the miatta, its what i use and would recommend to anyone...

Second car though, got with the rx-7 (j), that car will win you so many races you will loose count :D
 
About this whole first car thing... I've done well with the PT Cruiser, and I originally started GT3 with the extremely underpowered Daihatsu Storia X4. I'm not the greatest driver either (not bad, just not overly good).

If you do run a car that's less optimal, your driving skills will tend to grow a little more in an attempt to actually go fast is something that allegedly shouldn't even be on the track. Better driving means more 1st palce trophies...and purses.

Also, keep a specific goal in mind. Me, I wanted an Impreza 22B ASAP. Despite the rumored inferiority of the Storia, it didn't take me too long before I plopped down the $50,000 on a REAL car.
 
Well I got enough money and bought a Viper GTS, then got more money, and she is like 870hp
Nothing keeps up to me on anything under races that require IA, since I don't have my IA liscence yet, still have 3 more tests..
 
I bought the PT, and while I hated it at first, I ended up feeling as though it was a great starter car. It's really flexible (turbo or NA) and you can win the Camaro SS very early.:D

The Camaro SS is a great car to buy once you hit around $23,000. It has great speed and ok handling. I started with the PT Cruiser at first as well. Although I should have used the Miatta in my opinion.
 
i started out with a PT didn't really soup it up though cuz i wanted to go straight for a lanver evo V or VI
